I cant put my finger on it. I passed FAR and REG on the first time and am strugglng with Audit however the concepts and my comprehension of everything is not a problem. Yet when i take the exam there are 2 issues: 1) there are 2 answers that i can eliminate and 2 answers that are so damn close that i have to flip a coin 2) I read the question and immediately get excited cause i’m 100% convinced that i know the topic. Yet when i read the answer choices im like huh?? where is the correct answer??

    Anybody else share these feelings?

    FAR 80
    REG 76
    AUD 85
    BEC 85
    Ethics 98
    DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm in the same boat my friend…. i dont know what to say other than to keep trying… i pushed for a 3rd time on AUD yesterday, feel the best out of the three times, but that doesnt mean much considering the AICPA grades exams while unconscious.

    BEC: Done
    REG: Done
    AUD: Done
    FAR: Done

    I'M DONE!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. It was my weakest score. I think it's due to so many test takers working in audit. They probably blow the curve for everyone else.

    Bec 4/11/11 91
    Aud 7/11/11 75
    Reg 8/31/11 80
    Far 5/24/11 86

PPierce – I'm with you on the auditing portion. I did pretty well on the other three parts (scored in the low to mid 80s on all three), yet it took me three times to get past AUD – 63, 69, and finally an 84.

I decided it was because it was more theory than practice. If I didn't know an answer on FAR, REG, or BEC, a lot of times I could “power through” the numbers and end up with the right answer. I found if I didn't know the answer right away on AUD, I was toast. For whatever reason, I just had a hard time reasoning through the question to get the right answer.

Finally, things started to click with me after MONTHS of studying. I was going to be pretty devastated if I didn't pass the AUD exam the last time I took it. Fortunately, I did pass.

Hang in there and you will get it eventually!!

    I think it's a left-brain/right-brain thing…Audit has no formulas, no math…all words.

So, if you're a right-brained thinker, AUD is probably the easiest exam of the 4.

As a left-brained thinker, the material on AUD all jumbles together for me with little distinction. It's all about process and degrees of differences.

Definitely the hardest of the 4 for me.

    BEC - 82
    AUD - 65; retake Feb 2013
    FAR - April 2013
    REG - July 2013?

Was my worst exam as well. I had 84, 83, and 81 on the other three. Audit was 71 at first and then I squeaked by my retake with a 75. I like NYC's explanation. The exams with more math were a bit easier because there is, most of the time, a concrete way to come to the answer. With Audit it seemed like it was more feeling based and you had to come to the best answer of two that could be correct. With most math problems there is only a “right” answer, not a “best of two right answers” answer.
