Using Yaeger for AUD - Page 2

Seems like most feedback on here has to do with Becker which I don’t have. I used Yaeger for REG, BEC, and FAR. Passed the first 2 and waiting on FAR scores. I am a little nervous about Yaeger’s AUD review because it looks a little less adequate and I have a hard time with the Bullmash lectures which I think he exclusively teaches in AUD. Any other Yaeger users out there had any problems with their AUD review? I plan on using the same methods that have gotten me this far just looking for some reassurance. Thanks.

    Yaeger CPA Review

    REG - 7/23/11 - 87
    BEC - 8/30/11 - 78
    FAR - 11/23/11 - 89
    AUD - 1/14/12 - 88

IMHO, Yaeger AUD is awesome!!! For some reason, a lot of people seem to have problems with it, but it worked great for me.

I struggled to get through tyhe Yaeger AUD lectures, but stick with it. A lot of people say Roger makes it a lot more interesting, but compared to the other exams it's not a lot of lecture time – if you can get through that quickly and move on to doing hundreds of MCQ's and reviewing your notes then you'll be fine. Yaeger definitely prepared me for AUD.

    FAR - 94 (5/2/11)
    AUD - 92 (7/1/11)
    BEC - 82 (8/25/11)
    REG - 84 (11/21/11)

I don't care much for any of the lecture videos, but I was totally lost with Auditing, so I bought Yaeger's AUD. It really helped me understand the subject matter. I went from a 72 to a 81. It was not so freaking long like the other lectures which helped me get through it without falling asleep. I highly recommend if auditing is a weak area for you like it was for me.

    Very helpful thread.

I used Yaegar for FAR and BEC and was wondering if I should stick to Yaegar for AUD and REG. I think I'll go with Yaegar for AUD.

    FAR – 11/26/11 – 82

    BEC – 11/30/11 – 87

    AUD – May 2012

    REG – May 2012

So much here is true. Gary is dry but it worked for me! I don't work in auditing and I just did the Yaeger plan. Lectures, mcqs and wiley software. It got me through. It seems to work for me. Hopefully it will have worked for BEC for me.

    FAR- 63, 75
    AUD- 61, 78
    REG- 63, 74, 80
    BEC - 63, 61, 75!!!!! I'm done!!!!

Thank you cah2c and CPAMan, and the rest of you. I was hesitant about moving on to Audit with Yaeger. But now I am excited. cah2c…..I am going to do exactly what you did. Let me get one thing confirmed: you said you do “ALL” the MCQ at the end of each module. Is this correct? All of them?

BTW….just got my score report in the mail for FAR. I passed with an 80. It was my first exam with Yaeger. I am so in love with them. haha

    FAR...80...Yaeger...Nov/2011
    AUD...Exam...Oct/2012
    REG
    BEC

@ Future_CPA- Yes, I did all the MC at the end of each Module along with the Wiley Online Test Bank. Good luck to you and congrats on the pass for FAR!!

I just took AUD last month and did not pass. It was my first time taking a CPA exam section. I used the Yaeger/Wiley combo to start studying with about 3 months to go, and felt it was not enough, so I bought the Becker book for AUD about 6 weeks before my exam. It was definitely more useful and organized than Yaeger. I really got nothing out of Yaeger's handouts, and only a few useful tips during the lectures. Also read the whole Wiley book and did almost all the MC's in there.

When I retake the exam in a month or two, my plan of attack is going to be: re-read the Becker book, study the important parts again, get the Wiley 2012 AUD paperback, skim thru it and do the MC's, and do practice tests on the Wiley software, which I wish I spent more time on before. If you can get about an 80 on one of those practice tests, you should be good to go. That's my goal before I schedule my next attempt at AUD.
