Using Yaeger for AUD

Seems like most feedback on here has to do with Becker which I don’t have. I used Yaeger for REG, BEC, and FAR. Passed the first 2 and waiting on FAR scores. I am a little nervous about Yaeger’s AUD review because it looks a little less adequate and I have a hard time with the Bullmash lectures which I think he exclusively teaches in AUD. Any other Yaeger users out there had any problems with their AUD review? I plan on using the same methods that have gotten me this far just looking for some reassurance. Thanks.

@nnenna – Thanks for the response. Is there anything in particular that you found to be inadequate? Did you end up passing with other review materials? I wasn't planning on purchasing anything else since I already have the complete Yaeger package. But I feel like as long as I watch the lectures, review the highlighted points in the book, and go over the MCQs multiple times, i should be fine. However, I only actually know one other person that used Yaeger and he got through all 3 parts with no problems and just found out he failed AUD which makes me nervous. I appreciate any feedback. And good luck if you're still going at it.

Continue to do what works for you. Just because someone else failed using Yaeger doesn't mean you will.

the thing abt yaeger is that he is solid withe main concepts of internal control and evidence but u need to either read the book along with watching the videos or watch it multiple times……………..i only started retaining info after like 4 times…………….i dont understand why but those r the facts………………….solve mcs from gleim to be sure u know yr stuff……………..aud can be very deceptive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started 2 days ago using Yaeger for AUD and the only problem is that AUD is soooooo boring. That's not Yaeger's fault though haha

I'm glad it's only 19 hours of lecture because I don't think I can handle anymore.

Yeah I had trouble keeping my eyes open during Bullmash's lectures in FAR. I do look forward to watching 6 discs rather than the 15 for FAR though.

I don't know how I got through 51 hours of FAR lectures. I think it took me 3 weeks to watch them all, and that's including stopping the video to take notes, etc. It was a pain, but I passed.

ROGER CPA Review was excellent for audit – especially with Internal Control and the Audit Reports.

AUD might be dull but Bullmash does a good job of honing in on the main concepts. Yaeger's AUD Homestudy worked very well for me, so no complaints.

@WaitingFor BEC- thanks! Took a lot of hours of studying too in addition to watching the Yaeger lectures, and I certainly wasn't aiming for that score. Just wanted to pass. But, I'll take it:)

Oh, and just so you aren't deceived by my score, I didn't walk out of the testing center with complete confidence. My SIMS stunk. In fact, I was guessing left and right on two of them and partially on another couple. Those tests seem designed to make you miserable no matter how well you ultimately score!

cah2c-I'm getting ready to order AUD from Yaeger. I just took FAR last week (Yaeger). Would you be willing to describe the details of your study method for Yaeger Audit? Your score is impressive and I want to do the same thing you did. My email address is southisaac@gmail.com if you prefer to email me instead.

Gary Bullmash is good. Boring as watching paint dry, but he knows his stuff and gives great advice.

@Future_CPA- I watch all the DVDs for a Module while highlighting the important stuff . Then read/skim through the book and turn the key information into notes on index cards. After that I do all the MC at the end of the module. I spend about a week per module. Then the last couple of weeks, after I'm done with the lectures, I do lots of Wiley MC online and review my note cards several times.

I've done the same thing for each exam thus far and it seems to be working for me. You only need a 75 to pass, not sure how I ended up with a 99 on this one. Bottom line, gotta put in the study hours and do lots of MC.
