Hi,

I apologize in advance if this question has been asked before. I’m sitting for AUD on 8/17/13 and planning to use 2011 review materials (Yaeger). For the updates, I want to purchase the NINJA 10 Point Combo. Is that sufficient?

Nope, audit had major changes effective for the exam July 1st. Go purchase the Wiley book for 2013 and you should be fine. I am pretty sure that Yaeger does their lectures off of the Wiley book anyway.

you will get many differing opinions, so here is mine…

why would you want to use materials that are 3 years old, that you know have changed, wasting weeks/months of your life and hundreds of $ to study for an exam?

retaking an exam is quite expensive and time consuming…but it is your call.

@ngti15, I am actually using 2011 Lambers lectures but supplementing it with 2013 Wiley book. So far they are working out fine. I am planning to use the Wiley book alone for the newer additions. I also have the Yaeger lectures from 2011 and I plan to go over them for concepts I need clarification on.

I think you should be fine if you get the Wiley 2013 book and the Ninjas to add to your 2011 materials. Good luck studying!!

NO…you should NOT use only 2011 materials + a current 10 point combo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is a bad idea.

Do yourself a favor…the 2013 Wiley Audit text is $41.36 on Amazon which much cheaper than $300 for another round of exam fees. If you work through that textbook and utilize your 10 point combo, you will be in solid shape for your exam on 8/17. Auditing is hard enough as it sits, so don't make it worse by preparing with outdated materials!!!!!

Normally, I would say that audit standards do not significantly change and you would be fine. However, the new clarity standards are effective now and you should definitely purchase updated materials.
