tips? tricks? how did you nail down this portion of AUD?

    FAR - 75
    AUD - 78
    BEC - 82
    REG - 77

Our value does not come from our skills and abilities, as good as they may be; it does not come from our GPA, our job, a promotion from that job to a better job, our success on the CPA exam, or anything of the like; but our value comes from the fact that we have a Creator who loves us, cares for us, and desires to help us navigate the rough waters of this life in a way that provides security, hope, and true, everlasting joy while we anticipate the life to come, with Him.

I practice the Sims in Gleim. Those assertions sims are actually quite tricky but did help alot.

Sorry OP for hi-jacking your thread, but @skynet I have a question for you. I seem to recall you saying somewhere in one of the threads that you were studying for FAR at the same time as AUD. Did this help you with AUD SIMS, because SIMS are what killed me on AUD last time. I can't imagine having time right now to study both, but I am curious to hear what you did and why you said you were studying both. Or have I lost my mind and you did not say that? Thank you! 🙂

FAR - Passed!!!! I have my life back.

SomedayCPA2015 – It actually did when I studied for both FAR and AUD. I had one Sim in AUD that was totally FAR related where I had to determine overstatements and understatements. But because I was also studying for FAR, I was able to do the SIM. There will also be FAR related materials for FAR in AUD. I can tell you that you will need to know financial ratios and know journal entries just not extensive as FAR, but they will show up. They caught be by surprise but I was able to do them.

Plus the reason why I studying for both was due to the fact that my Review Access time was running out. Working during tax season took up most of my time so I couldn't study. By the time Tax Season was over, 4 months of my CPA Review Access had elapsed. So, I was studying for both REG & BEC and then FAR & AUD. I was also still fuming about what had happened at my last Retail Job so I was studying like a Mad Man even though it happened over a year ago.

@skynet you crack me up. But I also understand, because I can hang onto things that were years ago too. Whatever motivates us, right? I'm having a difficult time re-studying Audit because I do not know what I can possibly do to pass the SIMS. Even if I end up with Stronger on MCQ (I was comparable) I would bet they wouldn't pass me. @shanek327 I was in the high 90's on MCQ's feeling pretty good for the most part going into the exam too, so I'm feeling a bit defeated and trying to fight through!

SomedayCPA2015 – The only tip I can give you is that whatever review course you are using is to practice the SIMS over and over. Make sure to understand why you got it wrong by going over the explanations. I spent the last two weeks before my AUD exam just practicing and studying the SIMS.

Also, a lot of mistakes is to not follow the directions in the SIMS. For example, if the SIMS tells you that if “no journal entry is necessary then put no journal necessary or if the answer is 0 either leave it blank or enter 0” then you do exactly as it tells you. Those stupid little mistakes will definitely hurt your score. It's why I went through all of the SIMS two weeks before the exam.

Thank you @Skynet! I'm using Roger, and have the 10-point combo as well. I have been going through the Ninja SIMS right now, and will definitely do Roger's too for more practice.

    AUD - Passed
FAR - Passed!!!! I have my life back.
