Hiya!! I sent my transcripts in 2 weeks ago, waiting for the thumbs up for my NTS.. having a hard time staying up on my AUD studying without a clear date planned. Anyone have advice for this situation? I would say I am 70% into the Wiley40thEdition material, 25 MCQ hours clocked trending 76% with only a handful of SIMS completed.

Whoa – sounds like you're going to be ready to go by the time you get that NTS! Good job getting this far – I remember being in the same boat (same exam, actually) and being really excited about getting the process rolling, but then kind of fizzling out the more time dragged on. Do you have an idea of your state's timeline? If you can get a general idea of when you might be able to apply for your NTS, you can set a timeline there. Then as soon as you get that NTS, schedule your first exam ASAP, giving yourself maybe another week or two to review and make sure you've got the material down before your exam date. Good luck! 🙂

Just take it when you get your NTS. You'll be ready. I did AUD in two weeks during my busy season.

@taxgeek its illinois, so i dont have a precise timeline, they give a pretty broad window of when it will be completed. the lady did say they were not backed up at all on applications so thats good. as an accountant, i wouldnt be able to take off during the first week of Jan due to month end close, so earliest NTS i imagine would be Jan12… almost 2 months away and been studying about 1.5months ( didnt execute sending transcripts in diligently!)

@Bill yea i plan too, do they give you a NTS during a black out month allowing you to schedule for Jan or will i not see my NTS til Jan?
