Took Audit. Not sure how I did. How to judge?

I used becker to study. I took FAR first and when I left the testing center I knew that I passed. I was very confident. The second testlet was definately harder than the first. I scored an 86.

For audit, I have no idea. I couldnt tell if the questions got harder. I got the same question 3 times word for word. I looked up the answer later and I put the right one all 3 times thankfully. I hate feeling unsure if I passed or not. And waiting until September is going to suck.

AUD can be a confusing exam. Most of the time, I was able to quickly knock two answers out, but, sometimes had trouble determining the better of the remaining two choices. I am willing to bet that since you kicked FAR's @ss with that good of a score, then you probably beat AUD as well.

    BEC - 71, 74, 77 (Feb - 2011)
    FAR - 73, 78 (Feb - 2011)
    REG - 83 (Nov 2010)
    AUD - 71, 84 (May 2011) - Done!! CPA licensed in TX (July 2011)

I felt very similar when I took AUD in may. I couldn't tell if the questions got any harder and I also thought the sims were pretty tough. I left with no idea whether I passed and ended up with an 85.

    AUD - 85
    BEC - 85
    FAR - 76
    REG - 75

I took AUD today and could definitely tell the questions got harder. I hope that is a good sign.

    AUD: 07/11/11 - Passed
    BEC: 08/27/11 - Passed
    FAR: 01/17/12 - Passed
    REG: 04/30/12; Re-take 7/16/12 - Passed

    FINISHED!!!!!!!!

My AUD experience was the questions got harder. It was very easy to notice the change in difficulty. I didn't see the answers being difficult to determine. To me 1 answer was always the clear answer.

    BEC-84
    AUD-91
    REG-89

i took the exam today as well…I thought the MC was bit tricky and the simulations were ridiculously hard.

“I couldnt tell if the questions got harder. I got the same question 3 times word for word.”

I too couldn't tell much of a difficulty difference in my 3 testlets. Frankly, after using Becker, I thought they were all easy. I also got the same question three times and nailed the question correctly all three times. I like to assume the questions I had flagged will be thrown out by the AICPA as “test” questions anyways; helps me sleep at night.

My SIMS were also pretty brutal. How would I study for those? The grade will really come down to the Simulations performance. Fingers crossed for all of us!

That's so weird. I have the same feeling for the MC, but my Sims are also very easy which really makes me really nervous and I have to wait till Sep. That really sucks!!!

my experience was testlest 3 was ridiculously easy, 2 was harder than 1, but i wasnt easy at all… so T1- medium,

T2- Difficult, T3-easy….sims was fairly hard but not impossible just took some patience, calm and reasoning….

No way to tell. You just have to wait until scores get released. My testlets never seemed to change in difficulty and yes, a few of my questions got duplicated too. Had no idea how I did because my Sims were killers. I scored an 87.

Waiting does suck, I agree. Welcome to the club! 😀

Just took Audit. It was rough, but I hopeI did well on MCQ. There were a couple on my first testlet that weren't emphasized in my study materials, so I thought that was sort of hard. Testlet 2 had a number of really short questions. Does that mean easy? Testlet 3 had longer questions, but they were topics familiar to me, so I only had one marked as unsure. Other than question length, I couldn't really tell a difference in difficulty. I felt the same way about FAR MCQ and I got an 86.

SIMS were hard. They weren't very detailed, but one question had stuff on it that was not discussed in Becker very well (maybe 2 sentences in the whole book). I felt comfortable with 4 of the SIMS, but the other 3 were really odd. I thought that they did not really test my knowledge of audit. That stuff seemed more related to FAR, so i'm glad I took that one first. I guessed on at least 25% of the questions.

I'm pretty nervous about this score. I studied really hard. I don't know how much more I could have crammed into my brain. I feel like some of this stuff can't be studied, which is really frustrating!

Here's how you tell. Reach into your pocket, pull out that quarter, and give it a good flip.

Heads you failed, tails you passed.

In all seriousness, you can't ever be certain. The hardest part is just forgetting about it and moving on to your next test.

    AUD - 76 (lost credit), 71, 82!
    BEC - 84 (lost credit), 80
    FAR - 67, 76
    REG - 44, 64, 52, 72, 70, 54, 64, 67, 78!

@hurley.120 – Were you able to research the FAR related Qs? Your exp is scaring me. I took FAR last year and I hardly remember much.

    BEC 86 (expires Sept'11)
    FAR 85
    REG 87
    AUD 8/27 - waiting

I took AUD a few weeks ago and I felt like my first two testlets were about identical. I thought a majority of the questions were easy, but since it was my first exam I had taken, I couldn't really gage this to any past experience.

Suffice to say, I had a good 2.5 hours going into my third testlet and I was feeling pretty confident. Starting my third testlet I flew by the first five or so questions (knowing I had them correct) in about 2-3 minutes. Then, around question 7, I got a flurry of about 10 or so back-to-back paragraph long questions which worried me since I did not see this rigerous of testing questions in the previous sections. Before I knew it, I had finished the third testlet with barley over an hour left to do the sims (it was still enough time, but I did not get to take the break I had planned!).

As for the sims, it was hit and miss for me. I feel like I scored near 100% on 3-4 of the sims, and probably bombed 2-3 of the others. Hopefully one of those sims that I bombed was a non-graded question!

    AUD - 85
    FAR - 78 (lol@ FAR Sims)
    REG - 85
    BEC - August

No you couldn't research on FAR. I didn't even use it on AUD though. To be honest, I kind of forgot about it, but it wouldn't have helped me anyway…most of it was purely application of the principles.

    FAR - 86
    AUD - 90
    REG - 79
    BEC - 89
