So, this will be my 4th (and hopefully last time) taking the AUD section of the CPA. I feel that I did extremely well on the MCQs but that I bombed the simulations. I have no actual work experience in auditing and I feel terrible about the test because it can go either way due to the simulations.

The Gleim simulations were nowhere near as tough (I was getting literally 70% to 100% on all of the sims). The “If this happens, what do you specifically do?” questions I had to do the “best guess” approach because I don’t know what an auditor would specifically do after discovering a specific situation. I.e What happens if a blank positive confirmation is returned with no signature?” Plus my research topic was extremely vague in what it wanted from me so I don’t think I got that extra point. With the simulations being 40% of the score, I feel that I could pass if I got the 20 points but it’s still just “I don’t know.”

So now I get to wait for my audit test score like everyone else until June 26th wondering if I passed.

Good luck. I felt EXACTLY the same way after taking REG on 4/15. I have AUD on 5/27… studying my butt off. Well, not literally. My butt has gotten substantially bigger since I started my CPA journey, mostly due to me sacrificing cooking/working out in order to have more time to study, I'm really looking forward to June *Blackout month* since I'll be finding out if I passed my last two sections, so I'll have nothing to do but relax, workout, catch up on reading, work only 40 hours per week (June's also a slow month at work)… Ahhh I can't wait! Hang in there, have a drink, and relax. That's all you can do now. Don't stress yourself out over something that you can't change. 🙂

Thanks, I appreciate it. The more I look back at the test, the more I freak out on it cause of silly things. I sort of want to just say to hell with it and go on with life. But then I'd also want do some MCQs every night too.. so I dunno..
