So I’ll be taking AUD for the *fifth* time next month.

I feel like I’ve been doing everything people say that would help to pass but yet I always barely pass (73 was my last score). Does anyone have any additional tips/recs/other study materials I can use?

This is what I’ve done/used in the last 4 exams:

Roger lectures
Ninja Audio
Ninja Notes
Ninja MCQ

What I usually do is do lectures/notes until I get a good idea of the material and then just do MCQ until I’ve answered pretty much almost all of the questions, which might take 40+ hours of just questions. The audio I listen to when I have time, usually in the car and some at work.

I really don’t know what else I can do other than this again for the next test. Any other new ideas/tips? Thanks!

I have audit in about a week and i am really struggling with judgmental type question. I hope i do not get those types of questions too much.

Hi @Madhave,

Unfortunately, Auditing is part ‘judgement'. Just like you're investigating, documenting, and giving a ‘reasonable assurance' that your audit is done using ‘quantitative' and ‘qualitative' judgement, like analytical procedures.

In which, likely use these findings, as part of the ‘sufficient basis' for auditor's opinion. This will likely result into the issuance of an auditor's report – the finish product, in accordance with US GAAS.

As for judgement type of questions, I have been using what I learned from universities, unpaid work related experience and CPA review materials. I find the following areas for these type of questions, used quite a bit of ‘judgement'.
– Internal control
– Evidence
– Audit procedures.
– Assertions.
– Substantive testings
– Test of detailed transactions.
– Sampling
– Type of opinions and reports
– Other areas.
If you're videos, related to the above mentioned items are not as clear, make a ‘flowchart', connect each item to what the question is asking. Attached the possible ‘judgement/procedures/assertions/opinion/related items' that has connection to the ‘asked question'.

Also, think about a mid-sized and large companies. Think what each personnel duties are. How these duties relate to each other. How each personnel do their job. How they are connected tasks to their co-workers, with the vendors, buyers, suppliers, creditors, investors, as a seller and other related parties that the company dealt with.

Lastly, during the actual exam, use equation if you have to:

Example:
Segregation of duties, like area of ‘cash'.
Think who's responsible for receiving cash, recording cash, and has the custody of cash.

The areas of ‘judgement' can be mastered, if you can put the pieces together, and they actually make sense.
