    Hi Guys,

This is my last chance at Audit before my FAR score expires. Audit is my last try and I failed with a 65 (again). I have the Wiley Test Bank and I bought the Roger CPA Cram review and the Ninja Audio & Notes. Any suggestions??

Also, will there be new material for January 2013 so it won’t be a surprise for me?

    I appreciate the help.

PS: UGH I am so disappointed!

you wont see new audit material until July/August window. Do MCQs until you want to die? That's my favorite? thing to do the week leading up to the exam. Don't know your situation but I do about 7 days of MCQ, 200-350/day then do some SIMS and AICPA recently released questions. Then day before I read over areas I struggled at and just write stuff down by hand so I remember it better, then go to bed and attempt to sleep and picture myself owning the test as I fall into sleep counting my debits and credits like a good accountant does haha

Hahaha thanks, Da Bears. This is quite frustrating considering I thought I really knew the material better than before. The SIMs did kick my ass tho. I will definitely do MCQs till I want to die. =)

Do you so happen to know anything about when to take the exam before your score expires??

I found what worked well for me was to to review a chapter quickly after ive watched videos and then do MCQs. I did this for each chapter then i reviewed for 2.5 weeks straight of doing 200+ MCQ and sims a night. During the test i when i got to the sims i used the AL to look up 4 of my answers and they were word for word right from AL. I think i didnt memorize the audit reports word for word i studied generally what they were about and said. If you get a question about the reports it is going to be a general question about where does this go or what is included. If they want word for word then it most likely will be a sim and you can look it up..

Just study a ton of MCQs, and leave a bunch of time for the Sims so you can look them up and you should do fine.

YES don't forget to look at AL. WORD FOR WORD answers are in there! I believe you must sit for the exam before your score expires. If AUD is your last exam then I would sit before FAR expires, but if you still have BEC and REG to go your FAR is basically as good as gone.

Assuming AUD is your last bastard to kill, you have to sit and physically take the exam before FAR expires, you will receive your score for AUD after the expiration date but it will still count if you pass since you took it before FAR expired.

Becker questions seemed to focus a lot on how report language changes from standard unqualified to the different reports.

Do you write things down yourself (either cards or notepaper)? That makes the process much more active than just reading/listening/answering. Writing things in your own words forces you to understand; it also attaches the info more solidly in your memory.

Audit is my last one. Thanks for the clarification, I just wasn't sure if you need to physically sit before expiration or you needed to have a passing score.

I will practice on using the AL for the SIMS. I actually didn't do that except for one. Any tips for research questions? I used the search within function, but I feel like it didn't help me much.

CheeseDog, yes I do write things down. I've written the Ninja notes and my Roger CRAM review.

I appreciate the suggestions btw! Hope everyone got better news!

in search within use quotes if you want it to look for words paired together. Kind of hard to practice AL, I knew what the sims were asking and answered them mostly correct but had 2 hours remaining during AUD so I spent that searching AL and came across gold mine of confirming answers. I knew like 8/10 things and it was just nice having the AL confirm and have the other 2 right there to give me a nice confidence boost. Study hard and you'll be good to go!

    @Da Bears

That's great advice. But, how do you do that many without having to stop and review? You know, finding out why and why not…

Does it come to a point where you just know most of the answers and you just sail through the questions?

    AUD: 2/28/2013 - 86
    FAR: 10/19/2013 - 83
    REG: 1/6/2014 - 80
    BEC: 2/27/2014 - 81
