Got my score for my AUD re-take. ANOTHER 72! (would have been cooler to get two 71s to be true to this site haha). Needless to say, I’m confused and PISSED. I took 6 weeks to re-study and felt good about my retake. I didn’t have the best luck with SIMs this time around though. My first time I was able to find 4 of the 7 almost word-for-word in the AL but not this time so that may have hurt me a little bit. But I already have a tentative re-test date. Just have to wait 48 hours to apply for another NTS and spend another $200+ for application and exam fees (ridiculous!)

This is my 3rd failure of this exam and I am finally angry with this darn test. I’m ready to do what I should have been doing all along: no time for fun, no TV, getting up early and staying up late to study, and anything and everything else that I need to do to pass AUD and then REG and BEC after. I already passed FAR so I’m sure I can pass my other 3!

I WILL be a CPA. This test WILL NOT break me. I’m coming for you AUD, you better be ready on 10/6!

    FAR: 65, 77!
    AUD: 72, 72, 80!
    REG: 64, 84!
    BEC: 83!
    Ethics: 98!

Delaware CPA as of May 23, 2014 at 10:43am EST.

Kre – I like the thread you created.

I just received another 74 on BEC this morning. I felt defeated for a moment, but then it just made me angry. I am currently studying for AUD, and I feel sorry for what will happen with AUD. I am joining in with you and the others to beat AUD down with anything and everything. We will destroy AUD in October!

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!

When I lost my FAR credit after being one “point” from being a CPA (back to back 74s on REG), I had 2 choices:

    – Get pouty

    – Get angry.

It's not immature at all – it's a mindset that gets you out of bed to study at 5am, over lunch, and on the weekends.

@kreibsome08 – in a similar boat, got a 73 my first time and a 74 my second time. Was shocked, confused, overwhelmed, and angry. I had already started studying for FAR so I'm going to continue with it and take it on 10/11 then retake AUD in mid November. I know the SIMS are what cost me this time. I was comparable or stronger is every section of the MCQs but weaker in the SIMS. I'm going to do my same method I used last time EXCEPT I'm going to add lots more SIM work. Good luck to you on your retake.

    AUD - 4/3/13-60 Retake 7/2/13-72 Retake 11/13/13-74 Retake 5/14/14
    BEC - 5/30/13-76
    FAR - 2/14/14-79
    REG - 4/4/14

@MCLKT great post and awesome job on turning a 73 to a 97!

Jeff's right, it's a mindset! I changed my outlook (studied like a mad woman) and turned a 74 on REG (in 2010) to an 81 (in 2013).

How BAD do you want it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsSC2vx7zFQ

Sounds like AUD better watch out!! Because we are bringing C-DOG and the reports!!

@jasonrobbins Telling a bunch of angry people who just failed an exam section that they are immature, lazy, or possibly stupid does nothing to benefit this discussion and makes angry people here even more angry. It's possible to do everything that you've instructed us to do and yet still fail. Sometimes you pickup a review course that doesn't jive with your learning style and you find out the hard way. Sometimes you see more than your fair share of XYZ topic than what is published on the content outlines and it just happens to be your worst topic. Sometimes your nerves get the best of you on test day. Stuff happens.

Sincere congrats to you for going “one and done” on each part, but please keep the judgmental comments to yourself. If you think this thread is “immature” then just keep scrolling next time. You don't have to post negative comments that do nothing to advance this conversation. Judgmental comments violate the spirit of A7 and I won't hesitate to delete them.

Judgmental comments tend to make me angry. 😉

Totally understand and don't want to offend. To me, getting angry at a test was a little odd because the test never did anything to you. 🙂

If you want a mantra to go by, it should be: get confident. Having confidence on test day is the best thing you can do for yourself. If you're angry and have 3 fails under your belt, you won't have the same mindset, you'll build the test up more than what it is, and might fail again. Having a clear, confident mind is your ticket to success.

Of course, this is my opinion and you're welcome to disagree.

    AUD- 97 1x
    REG- 81 1x
    BEC- 79 1x
    FAR- 88 1x

    DONE!

    10/1/12 to 2/28/14
