Got my score for my AUD re-take. ANOTHER 72! (would have been cooler to get two 71s to be true to this site haha). Needless to say, I’m confused and PISSED. I took 6 weeks to re-study and felt good about my retake. I didn’t have the best luck with SIMs this time around though. My first time I was able to find 4 of the 7 almost word-for-word in the AL but not this time so that may have hurt me a little bit. But I already have a tentative re-test date. Just have to wait 48 hours to apply for another NTS and spend another $200+ for application and exam fees (ridiculous!)

This is my 3rd failure of this exam and I am finally angry with this darn test. I’m ready to do what I should have been doing all along: no time for fun, no TV, getting up early and staying up late to study, and anything and everything else that I need to do to pass AUD and then REG and BEC after. I already passed FAR so I’m sure I can pass my other 3!

I WILL be a CPA. This test WILL NOT break me. I’m coming for you AUD, you better be ready on 10/6!

    FAR: 65, 77!
    AUD: 72, 72, 80!
    REG: 64, 84!
    BEC: 83!
    Ethics: 98!

“the test never did anything to you”

    LOL

    I differ:

The AICPA is conspiring with NASBA, PCAOB, FASB, IASB, IRS, case law, US Congress, and Prometric to complicate accounting and the exam unnecessarily, in order to make me, and only me (the king of the world) fail.

These institutions must be punished severely for their illegal transgressions, and the CPA test must be made easier for me to be able to pass.

I'm glad this thread helps, @GoGatorsCPA! Anger definitely works. It gives you the motivation to whoop the test's butt next time! The feeling of not passing a section has got to be one of the worst feelings but the feeling of finally showing that section who's boss is amazing! Very good luck on your BEC retake! Wishing you all the best in the world 🙂

Nishvik, AUD is such a tricky exam. Practice all the MCQs you can and try to become familiar with how the exam can trick you. Once I did that, I was able to understand how to test better. The CPA exam tries so hard to trick us so we have to know the material well enough to be able to know when the test is throwing a curve ball! Good luck on AUD! Keep working hard and you will get it!

Hey @ K_Reib08 , I totally agree to that the trickiness of audit exam is beyond grasp. After I receive my failing grades I dont understand where I went wrong. Of course Sim is the main reason that took me down. But now I know that for passing audit I have to be bang on MCQ's and I am really trying hard to work on that.

When you do MCQ's again and again you somehow try to remember the answer and then the whole purpose of doing MCQ's is ruined there. I am reading again trying to understand more. I wish I can deal with the trickiness.

Also the Audit language is like Literature and hence sometimes some MCQ's become difficult to gauge on and those few MCQ cost big on exam.

Audit is really really one tricky part. I wish that my Brain Light Bulb clicks and I understand where the exam is trying to trick.

    Wish all good luck !

I am happy to report that anger worked for me again! I took REG back in July 2013 and got a 65. I had my retake on 1/4/14. Checked my score this afternoon and saw an 84. A 19 point increase (thanks to the ninja notes!). I'm completely in shock and can't believe I'm done 3 with just BEC to go. The angrier I get at this exam, the more motivation I have to finally slay the beast and be finished!

Good luck to everyone receiving scores and taking exams this testing window. YOU CAN DO IT!

Here's to knocking out BEC on 2/28 :)!
