I studied for about 4 weeks at 40 hrs a weeks, so a total of 160 hrs…. probably a bit over kill but AUD was my weakest subject since I've only had one class and no work experience at all. I don't have results, but I felt alright coming out of the exam, and feel like I should pass, probably not another high 80's but something over 75. If you already got a 71 you probably don't need to study that much. Does your state give you a breakdown of your weak areas? If so, try and focus on those, do multiple choice questions, cpareviewforfree.com has good questions for free, get Jeff's notes (I think they probably pushed me over the edge). Also reread the book or rewatch videos for those sections. Good luck!!

    FAR 7/2 - 88
    BEC 7/30 - 87
    AUD 8/27 - 80
    REG 11/12 - 96

However long it takes to do 2,000 to 3,000 multiple choice questions and get 80% of the questions correct on the first attempt.

I put in about 60 hrs, but its not QUANTITY that matters. If you get through all the material and are comfortable with it, that's how much you should study!

Yes, I do have a problem. I am stuck with chapter 3. Ch 4 I read it once, maybe 3 times,…I guess, chapter 1 which I know 80%, but anyway, I feel like I am reading, and reading but going nowhere with it. I feel if I do the questions, then I may have the tendency to learn the right answer, even though I have the logical explanation….etc. I am looking for strategies to improve my studying for AUD. And I am using Becker just the book and cpareviewforfree. :(( I don;t think the numbers of study hrs work for me. I just need thousands basically.

I studied about 4 weeks for AUD. I used Roger and did not really finish studying the 4th and 5th chapters (out of 5 chapters), skipped through a lot of the multiple choice (almost completely for ch. 5) for those 2 chapters and just lost interest and my mom was in the hospital at the same time. I would say I studied about 35-45 hours at most in total. Luckily I finished with a 78. So it's possible to do OK. I totally thought I did not have enough time with 4 weeks and with my mom being in the hospital the last week, which was my cram to study ch. 4-5 week, I was ready to retake it before even taking the test.
