I’ve been taking the simulated exam(100 mcqs) and have been scoring 74,72, and a 81. I’m taking the exam in 4 days and i feel a bit worried since im not scoring in the 90’s.

I also took the Simulated final exam and received a 70, 70, 60 respectively on the testlets. After reviewing the testlets I noticed that i made a lot of mistakes because i didn’t completely grasp the question that was being asked.

    Am I in bad shape?!

I think you're doing ok! You still have four days to study….use that time to button up your weaker areas, and to nail down those “stupid mistakes”.

    What section are you taking?

I think if you're getting upper 70's, low 80's by the time you take your test then you are in really good shape. I passed BEC in 2011 using Wiley and was scoring in the low 70's on the practice MCQs. I passed AUD using Becker in the 2010 format, and I was scoring low 70's. Although, I think in the old format the writing portion helped me pass!

Just make sure you aren't scoring high because you're answering questions you've already seen a bunch of times. Be wary of just memorizing the answer, as opposed to actually understanding the material and knowing why the correct answer is correct.

Four days is plenty of time! Good luck!

Simulated exams are not built to give you an idea of an actual exam. Becker admits they make them much more difficult to prepare you for the real thing.

    FAR: 84
    AUD: 95
    REG: 78
    BEC: 88
    ETHICS: 100
