I just want to make sure I am clear on something. So if I think I got less than 75% of the questions correct, there is still a chance with a curve that I could pass with a 75? Really? Only in America

    Reg 11/15/2011 - 80
    Aud 02/28/2012 - 81
    Bec 05/31/2012 - 78
Far 08/31/2012 - 83 Do you believe in Miracles, YES !!!

They do something to it. The pass rates don't coincidentally hover around 50%. When I started the exam at the end of 2010, the first-time pass rate was nearing 25%. Up from 12% since the written days.

I need to ask…. if these exams are “curved” using past data, why can't we get our results IMMEDIATELY? Why do we even have to wait a few weeks for results? Ok, for BEC, there's the WC. So, that's understandable. But for FAR, REG and AUD, it's all computer graded and all the data for prior candidates is there. So, why can't we get our results the same day we take the test? Kinda suspicious if you ask me….

I'm guessing there's a delay due to prometric having to transfer it to the people who hand out grades.

I am declaring shenanigans on the statement that the exam is not curved……. there is no way it isn't curved… how else could there be a consistent 40% pass rate?

I wont give my exact reason for saying it is curved because the last time I did that I started a thread and it was instantly closed…

    FAR - 75 (Expires April 30, 2012)
    BEC - 74,74,69,83
    AUD - 72,65,70, 4/20 Last Score???

It is curved, they look at my score, fail me, then judge all against my selections, trust me on this one, know way I could study this much and fail a part.

@Givemesleep- I know what you mean. You have no idea how much I've studied for REG and managed to fail it twice. Now, I'm probably headed for a third failure. Ridiculous “curving” if you ask me….

So many of the questions and sims are “test” questions that actually do not go toward you actually score. Just sucks you don't have any clue which is which

I was once told by an older gentlemen that the only reason they had the writing portion was due to so many people scoring around 75% that they needed a reason to keep the pass rate at the desired level. So they used the writing portion to bump people up or down – as needed.
