I Failed AUD again. My MCQ is strong but Sim is weak. Actually Sim was killing me for the past 4 exams. I desperate some advices how to better study for the Sim. I am using Ninja test bank and Wiley book. Are there any other material better for SIM study? Thanks

I don't have it, but you can try the Gleim Simulation Wizard for roughly $100. They have a lot of practice sims in there. I think the sims are really just luck of the draw. When I got a 71 on Audit, they were extremely hard and I got two research questions and it is presumed that when that happens, the sim that is not graded is one of the two research questions. When I passed AUD, they were super easy and a lot of it could be found easily in the authoritative literature. Try utilizing that more if you have time during the exam

a lot of the info for sims is in the authoritative literature, sometimes word for word. since aud is the longest exam with little calcs speed through the mcq and leave plenty of time for sims. you'll need all the time u can get to search the AL for the answers

I agree with nolifecpa! The AL is a huge help for Audit sims. Make sure you're familiar with navigating the AL! It's there to help you.

I am in the same boat. Went from a 60 to a 67 and now a 70. Did well on the mcq and everything but the sims got me. I recently purchased ninja mcqs for $47 that comes with over 1500 mcq and 85 sims. Hopefully those 85 sims will help me! Any other suggestions would help!

Gleim Sims mirrors the CPA exams. It is worth the price. For each exams, I spent at least a week or two just working the SIMs in Gleim. It really helped. For both REG and AUD, the score report showed that I was Strong in the Sims.

For me, the authoritative literature in the SIMS helped a lot! You should definitely take advantage of that if you have extra time. Also, Just practicing this SIMS is good but when you do them try and think about how additional parts could be added to them to make them more complex and then think of ways to approach that additional challenge. Definitely make use of the AL on the test for the SIMS. That is what helped me the most. Make sure you leave at least 2 hours for SIMS. I think they are trying to test whether you can efficiently research the issue or not.

I used Becker and Ninja MCQ for the sims. Becker's sims are pretty hard but i am not sure if they helped me on the test. I would try what the other posters suggested above ^^ since it doesnt cost an arm and leg.

I didn't practice this Sims much at all for audit. If you can answer the MCQs at a high rate when practicing that same info makes up the Sims. Look for key words on the sims to tell you what type of standards you might need to apply (audit vs attest).
