    I’m retaking AUD tomorrow… hopefully it’s the last showdown for me. I’m super burned out, but I can’t put the book down. That said, I also can’t comprehend anything I am reading. I get like 7 or 8 pages down the line before I think “I can’t remember anything I just read.” I just want to get this over with.

    I reeeeeaaally hope I can pass it this time, but I’m afraid it’s going to be much harder with the new TBS. =(

    wow.. how do you do 90 questions in an hour! I took 1.5 to do the MCQ and I used 1.5 for the sims! So I guess we are not too far off on the timing 🙂

    My sims were comparable to everything I had seen in Becker.. I cant' really complain but I wish I would have spent some more time practicing more sims.

    My MCQ were fair.. however there was one topic that was heavily tested and I don't see it as important as other topics.. it's a very simple light subject but I didn't spend time to memorize it, so it may have killed me in the grade determination.. very weird!

    I did not feel that my testlets for MCQ got harder, but I've never seen that happen in FAR or REG and I passed those. I don't understand how or why people think they get harder.. I mean you know it or you don't.. I don't know how that determines if it's hard or not. I've always finished with time left over.. even in FAR. That was very scary! But I still passed

    I can't wait to see these scores.. whatever it is.. just give it to me!

    I'm a super fast test taker and I really took my time on this test and still finished in around 2 hours. I felt completely destroyed on REG and FAR and passed both of those first try, then I felt “ok” when i walked out of BEC and failed it. Maybe my feeling of being hit by a truck is a good thing…. =)

    Wowzer. Just had my first crack at any CPA exam today (FAR). Much harder than I anticipated. I was getting solid 90% or better on practice test after practice test (Wiley online test bank), and I'm not at all confident that I passed.

    Finished with an hour left, but for the 2nd and 3rd testlets, there were more questions I *wasn't* sure of the answer than ones I *was* sure of. Not fun.

    I still think it's possible I passed, depending on how lucky I get regarding which questions were pre-test and how much extra weight “hard” testlet questions are given. But holy crap. That was just an awful experience. *Way* harder than the Wiley test bank. :-/

    Kind of freaking out here if you can't tell…

    FAR 2/23/2011 | 95
    AUD 4/15/2011 | 97
    BEC 5/25/2011 | 94
    REG 8/17/2011 | Fingers crossed

    Stay positive, keep studying, on to the next exam for you!!! It'll be over before you'll realize where all that time went studying! 🙂

    @studyingmike,

    I completely understand that it's literally no consolation whatsoever until you have that score on your computer screen, but I am basically 100% sure you did better than you think you did… in my experience, your score is inversely related to how you feel when you walk out the door, and if you were doing that well on practice MCQ, you obviously know the material. The CPA exam questions are written to trick you and make you second guess yourself.

    so, like i said, I know it won't make you feel any better at all, but I believe you did better than you think you did. Plus, I think FAR makes everyone feel that way. Hang in there, try to forget about it (until it's time to obsess about score releases of course), and move on to the next part.

    CurseAUD: Thanks for the encouragement. Guess we'll find out soon enough. 🙂

    CPA Someday: Good luck with your hopefully last score!

    FAR 2/23/2011 | 95
    AUD 4/15/2011 | 97
    BEC 5/25/2011 | 94
    REG 8/17/2011 | Fingers crossed

    studyingmike: I don't think I have ever heard anyone say they feel like they passed FAR. I am sure you did fine, I passed it back in November and I thought I completely screwed up all my SIMS and still got in the 80's. I take AUD on Monday and from what I am reading I should be worried. However, I can't imagine it can possibly be as bad as FAR but we will see. Thanks to all the people who spoke about their AUD exam experience this window, I am going to try to detail my final weekend of studying on some of your comments. Best of luck to you all!

    Bakerslky.. you are going to be okay.. and try your best to truly understand the material.. don't just remember the questions in becker.

    When you are in the exam.. take your time.. READ all of the answers.. and determine why the others are wrong!! 🙂

    Good Advice, I know all about “remembering” the questions from FAR. I would take the practice tests over and over again and see the same ones, which doesn't help at all. I am using Bisk from 2010 and Wiley's 2011 book and I think it is covering everything pretty well. I think the plan will be to go over Internal Control again then just do Sims over and over again this weekend.

    @bakerslky:

    In the Wiley book, make sure you go through the practice sims they have in there. Good luck to you!

    @Curse AUD:

    Thanks for the advice buddy. I will def. go through all of them this weekend. With the new 60/40 split I think its the only way to go. Usually I would just do MCQ over and over again but I think now I should spend a day or two on SIMS only.

    @bakerslky… don't forget to do the practice test at the AICPA website. There are only 5 multiple choice questions, but they also have a practice simulation that has 4 tabs that was helpful. May as well practice as much as you can.

    BEC (08/31/10) - 85
    FAR (11/29/10) - 89
    AUD (02/07/11) - 92
    REG (05/31/11) - 88
