    Hey guys

Just wanted your thoughts. I am taking Audit 4/24. I took BEC 4/8 (still waiting). I am just doing Becker. Here were my practice test results

    Test 1

    MC: 73/90/80

    Sims: 74%

    Test 2

    MC:70/80/96

    Sims:87%

I am just really having a hard time studying for this. I made a study guide and have been going over that and the acronyms. I am looking at the simulations, but to be honest, I either know them or I don’t. I think I have a good chance of passing, but I just wanted anyones tips on what to do for the last day. I was thinking; one good last read over the book, look at my study guide (which has random stuff I may not have memorized) and look at the MC q’s from the hws and tests I got wrong?

If anyone wants to do some last minute review tomorrow, let me know!

I took my AUD exam last week and I spent a lot of time on the reviewing the Becker practice tests. In retrospect, I wish I would have spent more time on taking Becker's progress tests. I think Becker makes their practice tests overly difficult. When it came time to sit for the real test, I realized that Becker caused me to over-analyze the questions and to forget really simple stuff. I noticed that more of the questions on the exam were more closely related to the ones on the progress tests. I thought the simulations for the practice tests really helped prepare me and also some people have posted on here how to use the “search” and “search within” functions on the authoritative literature, which was a huge time saver on the exam and I'm sure that strategy will apply to all the exams.

    Good Luck!

Heres the tip for SIMS. Know how to use the AL. It was my experience that the answer to every single SIM could be found in the AL if you left yourself enough time and were comfortable with using it.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Does the AL for AUD have the same functionality as REG and FAR? I learned how to use it for those two sections by doing the practice research questions and was planning to do the same for AUD.

I wasn't planning on doing the other practice sims as I generally consider them to be an inefficient use of time, but if they're more important for AUD I'll try to squeeze some in. Advice?

    F - 86
    R - 90
    A - 97
    B - 91

The day before your exam don't do anything that you find stressful, confusing, or that will induce panic. For me, that means staying away from a massive textbook and doing practice exams!!! Read your notes or study guides, and do light MCQS in topics that give you a headache and after that…STOP IT. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Have dinner, relax as much as possible, and go to bed early so you are ready to rock in the morning!!!

On exam day RTMFQ 2-3 time before you ever LOOK at the answer choices!!! Leave yourself 2 hours for sims so you can use the AL tab to the best of your ability! There are fact nuggets in there that are worth digging for, which is why I suggest 2 hours for sims. It's there for you, so take advantage!

Good luck and kill the beast tomorrow!!!!!!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Do my practice test scores look in line with those that have passed?

    Thanks

I take aud on Thursday and had the same scores as you…I think the big issue will be remembering easy topics like jnnthom said…

    AUD- 97 1x
    REG- 81 1x
    BEC- 79 1x
    FAR- 88 1x

    DONE!

    10/1/12 to 2/28/14

Yeah I was reading through the book but it was freaking me out hahha. How prevalent are the ISA's from people who took the test? I don't think I'm nearly as prepared with that

All we can really say without a disclosure violation on the ISA's is that it's important to obtain an understanding of the key differences between the ISA's and GAAS.

Good luck tomorrow and let us know how it went for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like to use the acronym B.A.R.F. for the sections of the exam. It seems fitting.

I took AUD yesterday and I walked out thinking it was really easy..too easy…Becker MCQs and SIMs were much more difficult than the ones on the actual exams. I also realized that I should have used the AL for the sims but i didnt (doh!). Now i'm scared that i completely botched the exam…….

    Done ^_^

Just got out. Without saying any specific details about the test I don't really know how to think. I thought BEC went well in MC because they got noticeably harder. This time, I thought the first part (there were a few maybe 5-6 I was 50/50 on) , then the second part I thought was easier, then the last part may have been the hardest. Overall I didnt think any of it was particularly hard. I'm not sure whether this means I was well prepared and it was getting harder but I just knew the answers, or I didn't do well. The sims I thought were not that hard, and I used the AL for many of the answers. Overall, I didn't think it was too bad, but I don't know whether to be worried??

    BEC- 4/3

    AUD- 4/24

    REG- 5/31

    FAR- ??

I am worried that I am sleeping on AUD. It seems a bit too easy?

I spent months on FAR and wasn't ready…I am giving AUD 5 weeks, and feel like that's 2 weeks too long.

@mattcpafromva – don't worry. I didn't notice much difference in difficulty for AUD. Further, my becker final exam scores were VERY similar to yours. I scored an 85 on the actual exam.

    REG - passed (expires 5/13)
    AUD - passed
    FAR - passed
    BEC - passed 4/17

    DONE!!!
