Timing is not an issue AT ALL with Audit (I left the exam with two hours remaining). Leave yourself a minimum of 90 mins for the SIMS. You'll have plenty of time so dont worry about the clock.

I am also taking AUD tomorrow, are you using Becker? If so how did you do on the Final Test 2, I just took it yesterday and got a 70% of the MC and 80% on the SIMS. It is first exam so I don't know if that is a good indicator or a bad one.

Yes. Leave at least 90 minutes for sims. Use the authoritative lit as much as you can. Be especially familiar with the AU (Audit), AR (Review) and AT (attest) sources. I answered 2 sims word for word with the authoritative lit.

One little small tip. As you know, when you practice sims on Becker and you put your cursor over the 7 numbers to switch between the different sims, there's a text that that shows up above those numbers. For Becker sims, the text only shows the 1st sentences of the sims, but on the actual exam, what it really shows is the topic of the sims. This is really helpful if you can't figure out if you can't tell if your sim relates to an audit, review, or compilation service. I wasn't quite sure if my sim was a review service, but it actually said review on the text! It also gives you a starting point on where to search in the authoritative lit.

To study for audit I just followed the Becker plan. I watched the lectures, then read the sections I was hazy on, hand wrote notes on chapters that were confusing at first like the different reports and then I did MCQs like mad. Everyone said Becker's MCQs prepare you really well so I just redid all of them again and again over the past month. I take notes on any questions I get wrong. I haven't done the Becker final exam #2 but I got an 80 on the first one. I've been doing practice tests for the last few days and score mid 90's so I feel okay going in but I know I'll feel like rubbish after the test haha

Yeah, you sound like you are good to go. You'll be a 3/4 CPA in a few weeks. Congrats!

Time doesn't seem to be an issue with AUD. I left the exam with about 1hr 45min left. In comparison with FAR, where I left one sim completely blank and rushed through at least 2 of them without any time to review.

I didn't really have an issue with time either. I left about 1:45 for the Sims and even after checking them and using the Auth Lit, I left with 30 mins on the clock. It sounds like you have prepared well. Just make sure to RTFQ since AUD is especially tricky with the MCQs. Good luck!!

Hey everyone,

As promised I said that I would post my exam experience after taking it.

Testlet #1 Went pretty smoothly only marked about 4-5 that I was unsure of. There was also information in other questions that helped answer previous uncertainties that I had.

Testlet #2 was wordier so I believe that it was considered more difficult. I had some annoying topics that I kept seeing in this testlet but I do believe they may have been pretest. I marked about 8 in this testlet.

Testlet #3 was difficult to assess difficulty wise. It wasn't wordy like #2 but it had more NOT question and Except questions so it was tricky in its own way but I'm not sure if it was moderate or difficult. Probably marked about 7.

The MCQs were really managable and there were many that I just felt confidant answering. On other exams I could kinda tell which questions were pretest based on how random the subject was but on Audit I really wasn't sure.

The SIMs were ehhhh. I had two research questions one of which I'm sure was pretest because it was ridiculous. Some of the other SIMs I felt really comfortable and confidant with but there was 1 or 2 that I was just not really sure of. Probably got 50% on those. Authoritative literature definitely did help with specific types of SIMs but was useless for others. Overall it seems like a pass to me which is funny because I've never felt like I had passed coming out of an exam before.
