Are there any situations where CPA’s written report is NOT required when doing ANY type of work for the client?

i know that even with compilation WR is required and thats the lowest form of assurance…..

Compilation's do not provide any assurance at all. Here is a link I found from AICPA:

not talking about assurances,
i am talking about a written report, which is for the engagement to the client.

any services that such WR is not required? may OCBOA? tax, consultation?

Preparations do not require a written report. That link breaks the reports down to understandable terms 🙂

Written reports are NOT required when performing a preparation of financial statements (vs. a compilation or review of F/S, where written reports are required). This is covered under SSARS if you want to do a little more research on it.
