Take BEC or AUD in 2011?

I am stuck having to make a decision on whether I need to take BEC or AUD in 2011? The changes in AUD are going to have international standards in the 2011 exams, but the structure for BEC is changing also. Originally I thought I should take BEC in November and then save AUD for January exam window, but now I’m thinking I should take AUD before the end of 2010 and save BEC for January?

I wish there was a way to finish all 4 exams before 2011, but it is not possible as I am studying for FAR now to take in October. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Honestly, I'd take FAR as soon as I could in October and take BEC towards the end of the month and AUD at the end of November. I guess I don't know your situation, so I don't know how much time you are able to put into studying. But if I were you, that is what I would attempt to do.

    AUD: 95 (7/14/10)
    REG: 94 (7/22/10)
    BEC: 87 (7/29/10)
    FAR: 95 (8/12/10)

I was in a similar situation with REG and BEC. My instructor from Becker told me to definitely take BEC before the new year, as it is changing the most of all four sections, and will be getting more difficult.

    FAR: 92
    REG: 94
    BEC: 89
    AUD: 1/07/11

BEC is changing in the sense that it will have essays – but you're used to writing essays already.

I consider FAR and AUD to be getting the hardest due to IFRS, with the nudge going to AUD because it is adding IFRS and ethics from REG and BEC IT separation of duties material.

Thanks, Jeff. That is what I was thinking. I am going to take AUD in November and if I have time left that month I may try and squeeze in BEC….but if not, then BEC will be taken in January. I appreciate the responses!

I would agree with Jeff. BEC is picking up written, which isn't pleasant. However the content in BEC isn't really changing. I'd get AUD out of the way since no one really knows how the IFRS stuff is going to play out.
