Hi,

Im taking AUD tomorrow. Im trying to figure out if I should focus some last minute cramming into memorizing the RATIOS? So far I have focused mainly on the various Audit Reports, Attest Engagements, Level of Assurance and auditing standards. Im sure its more but my brain is going wacko at the moment. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Im also nervous that Im seeing more and more people say that a FAR topic will possibly be covered in a SIM for AUD. I recently passed FAR but that still makes me really nervous!

Hey good luck. I wouldnt try memorizing them for aud. If you have to calculate a bunch of them on a sim you might get a tab filled with all the ratios-thats what I heard…anyone else can confirm???

You should know how to interpret the results tho.

It's “simple” FAR stuff.. nothing you can't handle. The ratios are provided for you in the simulation. Definitely scan them over because you may get a ratio question in the MCQ. Good Luck! I hope I passed. Let us know what you think and how you feel afterward!

I would if I were you. I know for a fact that you will need those same ratios for FAR and BEC. If you don't see them on your AUD test, you will be ahead of the game on the others. I promise you will kick yourself if you see a ratio that would've taken you a few minutes to memorize. It happened to me on my first FAR attempt. I've since seen the same question on multiple tests since.

be familiar with them for multiple choice if they come up. I know in becker study material they have some questions that you need to know the ratios. It stinks to say but if you end up with 10-15 multiple choice that involve ratios you wanna be ready for it..doubtful itd happen but anything is possible

FAR (10/15/10) = 94
AUD (11/24/10) = 89
BEC (5/20/11) = 87
REG (8/23/11) = 78

make sure that you don't just memorize the ratios but understand how the components relate to each other…as Becker mentions…if you are having trouble seeing the relationship to each component has to one another try making up amounts and see what happens when you change one of the amounts…hope that helps and good luck!!!
