Hey, first post, having trouble getting past audit. Been using Becker, but have not gotten higher than a 65 on 3 tries. Any adivce from people who have passed how to study/what to study.

I have all three others passed, BEC expires next quarter, have to knock this one out.

I haven't passed auditing yet (I'm studying for it right now), but maybe it's Becker. If you have tried 3 times with Becker and not passed and are using different methods to study then maybe it's becker that isn't working out for you. Personally, I'm using Yaeger.

Becker might not be right for you. I live and breathe by becker but everyone learns differently so you might try different study material. I stopped watching the lectures and actually read the becker book and took notes and it definitely helps (with AUD atleast).

    FAR- 75
    REG- 82
BEC- 73, 79!! Its over. Am I dreaming?
    AUD- 74, 74, 88

What are you doing now to study? I know you're using Becker but I mean are you looking over your notes for each section before doing the MCQ's and then after each MCQ are you reading why the answer is right and why the others are wrong?

It may be like others have said maybe Becker isn't for you for AUD or you may just not be studying the “right” way for you although you have passed the other three.

I took AUD yesterday, studied about 5 weeks…and I felt completely prepared for it… I finished the first 3 testlets in a little over an hour and the SIMs were not too difficult. Overall, Becker did an amazing job with the AUD material. The key for studying for AUD and for any section of the CPA for that matter is to constantly keep the material fresh in your head. What I did was cover everything on A1-A3 then review A1-A3 and do progress tests…then move on to A4-A5…rinse and repeat…take progress tests as often as you can and it make your last days of review much much easier. Good luck to you, you are sooo close!!

I used Yaeger/Gleim and developed a system that worked for me. I reviewed lectures, did not take any notes, just paid attention to what was being taught. I did tons of MC questions (2000+) and made note cards for any questions that I got wrong. I kept doing 20 question testlets during my review week until I was making 70%+ on each invidiual subtopic in Gleim. That system helped me pass Regulation…hoping the same for Audit. I took it on 11/30.

    FAR Passed
    REG Passed
    AUD Passed
    BEC Passed

All aboard, this train's leaving. Next stop, TBD!
