Hi all,
So, I’m in a bit of a unique situation. I just graduated college in December, and I’m ready to get the CPA exam out of the way. The problem is, I moved from VA (where I was eligible to take the exam) to TX, where I am not (due to the ethics course requirement). This might sound unconventional, but I’ve decided to go ahead and study for the exam here in Texas, but take it in Virginia. I’ve blocked out the entire month of May to go home, and I want to make it worth my while, so I would like to take two parts while I’m there, in particular AUD and BEC.
Am I crazy? I’m not working right now, not married, no kids, so I’m totally open to studying 6+ hours a day. The problem is, I don’t know how to go about this. I just got the entire self-study Becker course in the other day. It’s suggesting with as many hours as I’m planning to devote to studying a week (approx. 30), to study two lessons a week. Should I study one AUD, one BEC? Or knock one completely out, then the other? If I start studying now, that leaves over two months until I’d be taking the exam, and I’m afraid I’ll forget some of the stuff. I guess my plan is to study one, then the other, then review for the first exam, take it, then review for the second exam and take it about two weeks later.
I would really like to accomplish taking two parts within that month I’m home, but not at the expense of failing both. I have a lot of time on my hands, but is it even possible? Anyone ever done this before? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
Keely
