How much time would you recommend for studying AUD?

I am currently unemployed and will be out of school for the next month and was hoping to take AUD the first week of January.

Would studying about 20 hours/week for the next four weeks be enough?

    Thanks for any input.

It all depends on how quickly you can pick up on the concepts. If you are unemployed why not just study for 40-60 hours a week for the next 4 weeks? Treat the CPA exam as if it were your job, wake up at 6 am study until 5 or 6 pm and study on the weekends. Different people have studied different amounts of time i think i studied for 200+ hours for AUD. if i were unemployed i would be studying alot more than 20 hours a week.

    FAR - 88 (Jul 2012)
    AUD - 85 (Oct 2012)
    BEC - 82 (Nov 2012)
    REG - 92 (Jan 2013) DONE!

    I second that mrwills12.

I think I studied about 90-100 hours for my first AUD exam.

Second time around, I am planning on close to 150 hours. The last 50 hrs or so are reserved for hammering out additional MCQs.

AUD is all concept. For me, 90 hours did the trick. But, it really comes down to how easily the material comes to you. I would start the process and make your decisions on dates later on. Good luck!!

80 hours of focused study is more than enough for AUD. However, since you're unemployed, why not do a solid 40 hours per week for 160 hours total? I agree with @mrwills12 — treat it like a full-time job. Better to overstudy and get a 90 than fail with a 73 & have to wait a few months to re-take it. You have a great opportunity to pass this exam. Go for it!
