SSARS vs SAS

    Hey guys,

    Can you pls help me out.

    I am not understanding when is SSARS or SAS used? What I think is –

    SSARS is used when accounting review services in case of non-issuer is performed by any CPA (not auditor)
    SAS is used when auditing services in case of non-issuer is performed by the auditor (CPA).

    Now, if it is correct, what are the cases when any company is not required to get its Financial Statements audited?
