SIMS – ratio in % or decimals

    I was working on beckers sims question on ratios on stockholders equity. I arrived at 0.282 and 0.1377 for year 1 and year 2. The solution had ratios in percentages, 28.2% for year 1 and 13.77% for year 2.

    My questions: Should we display ratios in percentages. Would I have got my answer wrong as it was not displayed in percentage format? Please advise.

    The instructions to the problem on the exam will tell you which one to use.
