Should I take the 15 min break for AUD?

    Hey guys,
I’m taking AUD in one week. For those of you who have already taken AUD, do you suggest taking the 15 min break or powering through to get that extra 15 mins? This is my first CPA exam.
My trouble with timing so far has been the MCQ trying to do one question per minute. I get stressed and feel like I have to go faster and miss things if I fall behind. This is from Becker mock exam experience so far. Anyone else have that problem too?

I don't know about anyone else on here, but I never use the 15 min break. I like to keep my foot on the gas this way I don't lose my rhythm. But hey, everyone is different. If you feel like you're in need of a break, by all means take it. Just have your launch code ready to go because (I think) you have to re-type it in.

Didn't use it for FAR, but I did for the other 3. Felt good to have a nice break to stretch, have a quick breather, and a little sip of water.

The 15 minute break after testlet 3 stops the clock. You can skip it if you want, but doing so doesn't give you extra time for the exam. I always took mine. (The optional breaks after testlets 1, 2, and 4 don't stop the clock, so those should only be used if you really must. Taking the break after 3 helps avoid the risk of needing a break after 4).

Take the break! My brain is normally fried by that point so I always take it.

I almost wet my undies during my last one – REG. I think too much coffee and water in the morning. I think the 15 minute break comes after the first SIM testlet, I had a moment where it was rush through the SIM to pee or take my time and if it flows, it flows (if it's between pass and fail no question my underwerar's getting soaked – just the time to sign out, go to the bathroom quickly and sign in always somehow barely squeezes into the 15 min). Fortunately I barely made it without rushing.
Anyway, I never felt too bad after MCQs but the SIMs always mess with my head and I always take the break as a breather/refresher, but to each his/her own.

Always took the break for a chance to pee, eat something, drink something.
Gatorade for that sugar water to keep the brain running.
The free 15 costs you nothing. I see no reason to not take the break. If you don't have to pee after 2-3 hours, you're probably not hydrated enough.

never took a break personally, but if you need it, do it.

does no one read the cpa exam notes at the beginning of the test? the break for 15 minutes after the third testlet is free an it doesn't add to your clock! I have used it for every exam

I always take the break. Walk a bit to the lobby, clear your head, pee and head back in. 15 minutes helps a lot.
