Should I memorize the different areas of AUD research?

Is it worth my time to memorize the two letter abbreviations for each area of literature that may be tested on an AUD research sim (i.e. AU = Statements on Auditing Standards [SAS]), or will the area be obvious once I start searching?

For example if I got a research sim asking about communicating with clients, would I first need to know whether that can be found in AU, ET, QC, or some other area? Or can I just start searching and then find the body of literature being tested?

    REG - 78
    BEC - 79
    FAR - 71, 78
    AUD - 67, 85

I would just read through what the abbreviations stand for one or two times. From there, it should be pretty common sense to know where to look.

LOL, that is what I was thinking!

For AUD, the wiley test bank is very good. Make sure you do their SIMS as they are very close to what you will see on the exam.

Regarding Akkula's comment about the Wiley sims, don't bother practicing their research sims, at least for AUD. They're terrible. Their non-research sims are very good, though!
