Scheduling my first exam

General question: How long does it take from the time I have been notified that I have been approved to take the CPA Exam to scheduling the first part?

The reason I ask is that, long story short, I had to retake some college classes in order to obtain the necessary 150 hours. I just sent them my final transcript last Tuesday and should be receiving an “NTS notification” saying I have been approved. After I receive that, is it conceivable that I could take a part at the end of this month or will I have to wait until April to sit?

I’ve been busting my butt this past week studying and will be pretty bummed if I can’t take a part until April. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Must be a CPA in 2012!

    AUD - 5/23/12 - 88
    FAR - 7/28/12 - 84
    BEC - 8/30/12 - 87
    REG - 10/20/12 - 75

Once you are notified you have been approved, it depends on how you asked to receive your Notice to Schedule. I got an e-mail confirming my approval three days ago and got my NTS in an e-mail today. I was able to schedule to sit for FAR today, so a very short while!

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

    USC MAcc- Fight on!

They say good things come to those who wait, but only those things that are left by those who hustle.
