Scheduling my first exam

General question: How long does it take from the time I have been notified that I have been approved to take the CPA Exam to scheduling the first part?

The reason I ask is that, long story short, I had to retake some college classes in order to obtain the necessary 150 hours. I just sent them my final transcript last Tuesday and should be receiving an “NTS notification” saying I have been approved. After I receive that, is it conceivable that I could take a part at the end of this month or will I have to wait until April to sit?

I’ve been busting my butt this past week studying and will be pretty bummed if I can’t take a part until April. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    @ HearnUC

I think it depend from one state to another 4EX; my state will take 2 weeks u but all the state no more than 2 weeks 🙂

here is my story to u : the problem that I face it is ( I evaluate my transaction with institution in U.S and I ask them to send me the evaluation and I will send it by my-self to the state , so after I received the evaluation I did the application as a first time and I register for one section which is FAR, and I pay online then I send my documents to them through mailing. I call them and they said we got ur application and document give us 2 weeks to send u the NTS, 2 weeks later I call them back ask them for the NTS so they said sorry some document is missing which is the evaluation we need the institution to send it not u so I tell the institution to send for the state a copy)

I was ready to take the FAR on 28 Feb. And I study well but this is the life NO thing comes without difficulties!!!!!

    My Questions:

1- how can I add another section which is the REG. On the NTS before they send it to me?

or each NTS carry only one part ?

    waiting the NTS Ooops.
Ready to accept the Shock ";Pp
    1-FAR, waiting
    2-REG, waiting
    3-AUD, waiting
    4-BEC, waiting

My situation is somewhat similar. After I initially sent them my info, they emailed me like a week later saying there is a problem with my transcript. I called them and yadda yadda yadda I have to take like 6 more courses in college. So after taking the health & wellness and fitness 101s of the world to obtain those hours (and it's completely B.S. to take these ridiculous courses just to satisfy some old rule – you would think a college accounting degree would be enough criteria to sit for the exam! Sorry i could go all day on that subject.), I sent my transcript last Tuesday. I emailed them on Monday to see my status and they told me I should receive my NTS in 3 business days. So I'm hoping I receive it sometime tomorrow.

Regarding your questions, MY understanding was you only need one NTS for everything. You just have to apply and register for each part separately, unless you schedule all 4 at the same time. But I could be wrong as well.
