I’m taking AUD in 3 weeks and I feel the pressure and stress squeezing the life out of me. This is potentially my last exam, pass and I’m done.

With the new exam around the corner and the daunting wait time for scores, along with the 18 month clock ticking down I feel like I HAVE TO get AUD passed the first time and the pressure and stress is really getting to me…

Sorry, I just need to vent. Anyone take AUD recently and have tips on what I should focus on? I’m terrified my SIMS are going to be random and I’m going to totally freeze up and bomb them on the actual exam.

I just hope this nightmare ends in a few weeks..

I just took AUD and haven't received my result yet, but following are a few tips that helped me during the exam.

    – Understand transaction cycles and why things are done.
    – Know the assertions very well.
    – Study Internal control well.
    – Professional responsibility is important and is easy points on the exams, so make sure to study that.
    – Read every question carefully.
    – Read all answer choices before picking the answer.
    – Answer choices with words like never, all, always are usually not the correct choice.
    – Leave as much time as you possibly can for simulations. They are hard.

    Hope these tips help.

I took AUD today. My best advice for MCQ is just understand everything generally and that will help you narrow down choices for MCQs. Like when to issue specific opinions, when to use OMP/EOMP, what are the key things about IC, when does an auditor lack independence, etc. If you know enough general info on a topic, you're off I a great start.

As for the SIMS, yikes. I thought mine were pretty hard BUT I don't have FAR under my belt. I think if you've mastered FAR and debits/credits, you can manage the tougher “financial accounting related” SIMS.

But I also agree as someone said earlier, it's a gamble of what test you get, and how your MCQs and SIMS are. Cause I was hoping for audit report format and content on my SIMS and I def didn't get that.
