Hi gang, I have my second try at AUD on Wednesday and I am breathing hard about it at this point. I’ve done all Becker MCQ’s twice and read the book once…should I be doing non-stop MCQ’s? Or should I go back and read the book? I pretty much know all the Becker MCQ’s at this point, so I am thinking of doing a bunch of Wiley test bank questions…

Thoughts? What do you guys think is the best way to review 2 days prior to test? Also… I just noticed that everytime I am sitting for a section, I am crazy busy at work!!! It seems like the universe conspires against me I swear, it makes things even harder… sorry just had to vent! Thanks!

I can tell you what I'm going to do….. do all the MC questions from CPAexcel and Gleim then rework all the simulations……I really like answering MC questions in study mode to review… that way i can click on wrong answers and read explanations to help get a further understanding of the material…..any material I find myself not fully understanding i'll re-read….. that's gonna be my approach.

I am sitting on Wednesday for Audit too. I think Wiley is definitely the ticket. I find that Becker q's are so easy to memorize, I have already done all the questions, and now keep alternating from Wiley to Becker.

For me, I am just going to do a combination of mcq's and reviewing notes. I seem to find that on the exam, sometimes it is the most basic thing that I black out on the exam. So, I am going to make sure that I go over highlights in every chapter.

I totally know what you mean about everything falling apart before the test. I had a crazy weekend, mostly not seeing eye to eye with my hubby. It is almost always on cue!

@tmw thanks for the advice! – Sounds like you have a good plan.

@Yankee I agree with you! I just did a 100 question simulated exam on Becker in about 20 minutes, got 99%.. now, this doesn't mean I know it all, this just means, like you said, Becker's questions are easy to memorize! I am definitely going to switch to Wiley questions as I find these much more challenging (maybe a little too much, they usually destroy my confidence haha). I haven't really looked at any simulations, planning to do that between today and tomorrow so they stay fresh in my head, are you feeling confident?!!

I feel like I can get thru the mcq's fairly well. I am much better at taking a stab at a question and reasoning the correct answer better than I did last time. I am most worried about the sims. So, glad that time is not a factor on this exam, that takes a load off my mind for sure!

let's report back on this thread and compare thoughts after the test, ok?

The simulations I've done for AUD so far seem pretty easy….the matching type questions come easy to me I guess. The simulations at least for AUD seem just like MC questions in a way. I also haven't got to certain simulations which I heard can be difficult

@Yankee good to hear! Hopefully this new year brings luck to all of us who haven't dominated AUD! I will for sure report back on this thread after I take the exam….I am probably going back to work after I take it… busy season is driving me crazy! Anyway, good luck to you as well!

@tmw idk if you've taken AUD before, as you can tell, I have… the MCQ's go very fast so you'll have plenty of time to do the SIMS…do not underestimate them (my mistake), use every single minute available and use the research function as much as you can!..It seems like the SIMS is what makes you or breaks you in AUD, so, even when you think you answered them all right, take the time to review them. Good Luck to both of you on Wednesday!! I did the same thing as yankee is doing when I passed Audit. Wiley questions and sims. Becker is very easy to memorize.

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73, 80 (Passed again in May 2012) Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70, 76!!!! I AM DONE!!! - Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
After 10 long years of studying, I AM DONE!!!! Finally a Licensed CPA in the State of New York!!

@jenuno01 what I did before FAR was the couple days before just review my notes (NINJA) as much as possible those two days and I did a few 20 question “quizzes” on the sections that I found the hardest and then the day before I took it pretty easy and reviewed notes, did flash cards and drove to the testing site about an hour before hand and read through the NINJA notes and walked in…. AHHHH.

I did not buy the NINJA notes for AUD, kind of wish I should've, but honestly, I barely had time to get through Becker and some Wiley questions…and it's probably too late at this point. Good luck to you as well! We'll have to report back on how we did, I bet you'll do just fine!
