Retaking Audit with Becker- Watch Lectures Again?

I just scheduled my Audit retake for late October and have just begun studying again. I am studying with Becker and just re-watched about half of the first lecture and feel like I may not be using my time efficiently. With less than 4 weeks to prepare (I could push back the test in November if I have to but would rather not), I am starting to think maybe I should just start pounding out tons of questions every day (like I usually do during my final review) and skipping the videos. I also have the 10 point lite (audio and notes), which I have not used before for any other test.

I am trying to decide what the best strategy is for the next week or 10 days. I feel like I always tend to learn more from doing the questions, and while the lectures are not unimportant, I have already seen them all even if it was a few months ago. I also got a 74, which shows that I was very close to practicing, but must have been weak in some areas, and I think doing more questions and sims would be more helpful than watching the videos again.

There are 6 lectures, all of them between 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 hours. So I could probably finish them in the next 8 or 9 days, but wouldn’t have much time to do questions until I finish them. My thinking is that it may be more productive to start doing lots of questions and sims now, taking notes, listening to the Ninja audio and only watch the parts of the videos that I need more clarification on. For those who have retaken a test, am I crazy for skipping the lectures? Or am I right to try to focus on doing more questions and sims, which have generally helped me learn more?

    REG-86 (4/13)
    BEC-83 (5/13)
    AUD-74 (7/13)
    FAR-78 (8/13)

Lecture speaking speed is slower than your reading speed. With that concept alone you will be able to cover more material faster by simply reading through the lectures. Perhaps if you get stuck on an area while reading you can refer to that part of the lecture. It seems like the consensus from successful exam takers is that working questions is the key to success.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"
