I just wanted to confirm, if I wanted to take the audit exam in January, I would have to wait till April to retake it incase I didn’t pass?

You would have to wait until score release, and could still re-take before March 10th.

oh, I thought when it said can't retake in the same window it meant can't retake in the same quarter?

You cannot retake the exam until the next window.

Correct. You can take two different exams, like AUD and FAR. But in the event you do not pass the section, you will have to wait until at least April.

The first two months of the quarter are testing months, with the third typically a blackout month, meaning no exams can be taken. For the last couple of years and into 2018, the windows are extended 10 days into the 3rd month. So quarter=window. You'll see both terms thrown around, so I figured I'd give you a little explanation to help clear it up. 🙂
