Hey guys. I used Becker for my initial time studying for AUD and bombed. Below a 60. I am starting to plan out my restudy and would love input. I don’t see going through the lectures again as very productive but know there is a huge gap in my knowledge. Any nuggets of knowledge and words of encouragement are appreciated!

    Thanks

Ninja MCQ. I hammered them this last window and that helped me pass, and as you can see in my signature I was never close to passing in the past.

    REG - 75
    FAR - 7/15/16

@Jennifer Thank you! How did you avoid memorizing the questions and gaining understanding of the topics?

I don't typically have a problem memorizing answers unless I consistently see them repeatedly. I didn't even make it through every question in the Ninja test bank before my exam. I tend to do a lot of “new” question sets, so that also helps prevent memorization.

The process I followed: I hammered new MCQ sets to get out of the assessment phase, and then I would just do random sets. After awhile, I could see where my weak areas were. I would work on beefing those up by reading or watching videos. Then hammer more questions on those areas. I would occasionally switch to Wiley to make sure I wasn't just memorizing or remembering the questions. I would read the explanations on the questions and make sure I understood why the answer was the answer. I would make notes on anything I needed to remember or didn't understand. But I just kept with the questions.

I did this for all of my exams in 2017. It worked on 3 out of 4, so for me it was a great strategy. Of course, you may learn differently than I do. But I found this to be super effective.

The Becker lectures and the book might be worth going through again and add NINJA Scout. With Aud, the key is know the specific wording for everything and repetition. I always just worked the NINJA MCQs and took notes on what I missed. I don’t really think memorizing is a problem with Aud because it is important to memorize the exact wording.
