what’s the difference? Is most of the material covered in the AUD exam just theory and not actual practice? What say you?

I have been an auditor for the past five years and I would say overall the exam is the theory aspect of it all. It is all relevant but I always think reading about auditing makes it sound a lot more boring than it really is. I do prepare mainly all of my clients' financial statements so studying the reports and knowing them word by word has been helpful. All I can say is if I did not audit for a living and I studied this section I would never want to be an auditor 🙂
