@Jeff, I just found out I failed AUD by 1 point. A 74! I am very upset, but am working on a game plan for 2011 to retake it in January. So, my question is: Do I need to study 6-8 weeks at 20 hours per week and start completely over? Or can I just learn the new stuff and review the other for 3-4 weeks? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

How long do you guys plan on studying? You thinking like January or February? How long do you need when your only points away?

I'm not sure. On one hand, I'd like to study super hard and get it over with in January, then on the other hand, I see no point in that since there isn't going to be a Wave 1 release and I'll have to wait til March anyway… but then I would be studying every single day for an extra month if I do that, any my husband has been waiting (not so) patiently for me to finish this for a while now. Huge dilemna

Definitely is doable. Thanks again, wishfulthinking! Time to crack open the books again, hopefully to finally be a CPA by the time 2012 rolls around. I'm kind of hoping that since they haven't completely decided on the new scoring yet that they'll go a little easy on us in the first couple windows, too ;).

I plan on studying for Audit until the new 2011 Becker materials arrive and then study the IFRS change and take the exam around Jan 10 as well

@Curse AUD: Glad I ran into you on here as well. Isn't it great to be able to have this forum where ppl can relate to each other with these exams. My husband has been waiting on me to finish these exams since I started them in Jul 2009…Guess that is partly why I was so emotional today b/c I felt like not only did I let myself down, but I let him down too. That feeling sucks! But with it all behind me, I feel like I can get back on track and do this!

Wishfulthinking-I have a my study notes in the form of an excel spreadsheet that I will gladly send you. Whats your email address? It is by no means a sure way to pass but it might halp get you a few more points (or that one you need), it worked for me and my roommate thought a few things like the section on audit opinions was very helpful.

Tough call – I would spend 4 weeks reviewing and doing EVERY MCQ in the 2011 Wiley book if it were me.

I'm about to wrap up my 2011 AUD notes…they're pretty killer in my humble opinion 🙂
