MemberI am going to take Aud on 11/29 and hopefull I can pass it in order to follow the old pathway. However, my 2012 becker is not enough for the new audit exam since it changed to AU-C from AU and new contents added. I do not want to pay for 2014 becker since it is so expensive. Is there anything else other than new becker that covers the new material on AUD? Please advice. Thanks!

InactiveYour cheapest options to get the new material are the Wiley book (check your local library or order for $36 used off Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/1118277201/ref=sr_1_1_olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1384002335&sr=8-1&keywords=wiley+2013+audit&condition=used ) and just read the chapter pertaining to the new rules or purchase NINJA Audio or Notes ( https://www.another71.com/products-page/ninja-cpa-review-study-guides/aud-ninja™-study-guide/ ) and look over their updates on the topic. The NINJA option is more expensive and I didn't feel like it covered the new material as much as I would want, but it's instant – you pay now and you're studying in just a few minutes (maybe an hour or two – I can't remember if it's an auto-email or if Jeff's team has to send it). Wiley is cheaper and more thorough, but not as convenient – it will take longer to read since it's got more info, and it will take longer to get to you since you probably won't find it locally and ordering online takes a couple days.
Or…the free option if you're a bit of a glutton for punishment is to just read the AU-C. I actually thought in my last couple days of AUD-prep that if I'd looked at the AU-C earlier in my prep, I probably would've tried to just read it instead of my book. So, this is actually an option that I would consider. I'm pretty sure there's somewhere you can get free access to the AU-C, but I can't remember where it was. 🙁 Maybe someone else can help with that! I had a full copy in the back of my Wiley book, so that's where I read it and thought “Man, I should've just started here…”

MemberI took audit before (twice) and after June 30 (passed with a 91), when the exam changed.
In all honesty I did not think that there was much of a difference except for the reports – although that was a sizeable chunk.
You could also download a copy through Amazon. And get the kindle reader ‘ap' for your pc or mac.The ap is fee and the book is $38. You probably get all the pdf type functions – ie highlight and book mark. I am also a big advocate of WTB….and you can get it on this site for under $100.
Reg 82; FAR 75; AUD 91; BEC 11/9/13; result due - 11/22/13

Inactive@Kiwi Good idea to download it through Kindle – hadn't even thought about that! That provides instant access, thorough information, and cheapest cost.
WTB is also a very good resource. It would help strengthen your knowledge and ability in all areas, instead of just the Clarified standards. Wouldn't be a bad investment if you can afford it. 🙂

MemberYou can try to purchase the free upgrade to the AUD Version B materials through this link:
https://becker.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1148/kw/audit%20version%20b%20upgrade/related/1
It says that you must request the upgrade by June 30, 2013, but if your 2012 version is still active, I would think that you would qualify for the upgrade. It doesn't really make sense that they would deny you the free upgrade if your 2012 license is still active. If they do deny your request, send an email to explain the situation and they may offer to provide you the updated e-book for free instead.
If you are granted the free upgrade, it comes with a free 2012 Version B e-book that has the current material that is being tested, so it would help out a lot.
REG - 93 (7/30/13)
BEC - 90 (8/19/13)
AUD - 98 (8/31/13)

MemberI am in the same boat you are in. They gave me a hard time about getting the upgrade because I missed their deadline, but ultimately they gave it to me anyway (though it wasn't long after the deadline passed). Hopefully they can still provide this to you since you purchased their 2012 materials and the auditing test/concepts have changed since.
I actually used my 2012 book and did the 2012 lectures (like to have a physical book with highlights and notes to bring with me at times) but am going through the 2013 homework and sims. There are some differences, but it isn't too hard to get them sorted out. In addition, I am doing the ninja audio (long commute to and from work). Sometimes I get a bit wrapped up in the details of homework questions and sims, so the audio is a nice way to repeatedly summarize the key points.

MemberThank you so much for giving me such good advices! The problem with beckers is that I bought it from someone else and I do not think becker would update it for me since I was not the original owner. I guess my plan is to buy Wiley to study new content but Im not sure what I need to practice with MCQ and SIM for new material. Does Wiley book come with testbank or some sample questions? Or Ninja notes? Or just buy new becker AUD final review?
