I took AUD on 11/27 with a lot less preparation than other sections. MCQ was alright – I don’t feel like I aced it but I did “okay.” Easy 1st testlet, more difficult 2nd testlet, difficult 3rd testlet. As an aside, when researching in the SIMS I found an answer to one of the MCQs I struggled with – turns out I guessed the wrong answer :(.
The simulations are really what’s bothering me. One WC was so bizzare and out there that I struggled to eek out a somewhat relevant answer in form of a Memo (I hope that one was a throw-away). The research tabs on both sims were pretty easy.
I found myself struggling with the other parts of the simulation. I didn’t think to use the research tab to answer some of these – even though I used that to answer the WC (stupid me for not putting two and two together), and now that I – just 5 minutes ago, on a whim – researched some of the sim questions on the AICPA website only to find that I selected quite a few wrong choices, I want to kick myself for not using the research tab during sim portion exam to greater ends. On the whole, aside from the WC and Research tabs, I’m banking on some 50% right choices in the sims.
Ugh.
It’s not like I “deserve” to pass, seeing as I didn’t study as much (new job and life in general). But – I’m just hoping for a 75. I heard that AUD has a harsher “curve” in that people find it easier to pass, so I don’t know if I will be saved from failing due to some mistakes (like FAR or REG, for instance).
Anyone took AUD in particular, looked up answers later to find that they did some work wrong (like me) and ended up with a 75 and above? Thanks…I feel really sad right now :(.
