AnonymousInactiveWell, I got my score yesterday, and to my pleasant surprise I scored a 99 on audit! I am not one to gloat, but I am really curious– does this happen often?

Kim4MemberI'll need sufficient appropriate evidence to have a reasonable basis to form an opinion on this. right now, I'm disclaiming an opinion.

round1ParticipantBoom, your negative confirmation won't suffice, lol!!! As a '99 AUD' guy you should know better. Give us some positive confirmation (of AR=99); some substantiation (of your transaction).
Hmm, on the other side, if you are not going for the Elijah Watt Sells Award, I see no efficiency in a 99 score. What gives?
DONE!

shawn53MemberI'll never understand why people say you studied too hard if you got a good score. How do you study for a 75?
I used Becker. Watched the lectures once, read through the book once, worked the problems once, did one final exam. Did I study too hard? Felt pretty efficient to me.

shawn53MemberI think the key to passing all of these exams is to truly understand the material. I wish there was a magic formula, but there isn't.
Audit is a combination of memorizing standards, reports, etc. and using your reasoning to understand transaction cycles, assertions, etc. I think you need to read all your materials, and don't just read without comprehending. Slow down and learn the things that don't come easily to you. Make notes or flashcards to review with so you can use repetition to memorize the things you need to memorize (I never had time to review my notes, but sometimes just writing things out helps). Once you understand a topic, THEN work the problems to test yourself. Take note of areas you struggle with, reread the relevant information, take more notes, and keep repeating this process until you're consistently scoring well on your MCQs.
Leave at least a few days for a final review. Work a sample of problems from all the materials, do at least one final exam (if you're using Becker or any other course that provides one), and just keep cramming stuff into your head right up until test day (this is more for the stuff you need to memorize; the comprehension part should be nearly complete as exam day approaches). Take your time on the exam (especially AUD, no need to rush with four hours allotted), and RTFQ!

shawn53MemberMy FAR score was a complete shock to me, as it was the first exam I took.
I thought I had screwed up by not studying Govt. and NFP accounting as much as I should have (especially considering I didn't take a class on them in college), and they were tested. I also didn't know a lot of the IFRS/U.S. GAAP differences/similarities aside from some of the more basic things. Other than that, I felt well prepared on the main topics. I never had a problem with pensions, capital leases, etc. As I said before, I think the key to making sure you do well on these exams is to truly UNDERSTAND the topics. Make notes that explain the harder topics in a way that's understandable to you, and be sure to review them.
With three down, you're almost there, and you know how to get it done. Good luck!

futuremdcpaMemberI've heard of some people I know in person getting a 99 in AUD, or very close to a 99… It seem's to be the easiest one to score a 99 on… Now as far as the others, I've heard of someone scoring 90+ on all of them.. He was a very smart guy in school… Only person I know in real life though! I have heard that he had quiet a few questions from Becker that appeared on his exam word for word. I've read this on this website as I well I believe.. I guess there are only so many ways you can ask AUD questions… hopefully I'll get all the same questions haha..
Now… Id find it hard to believe someone would get a 99 on BEC! That exam was a foreign language!!! If any exam will hold me back it is probably going to be BEC!
@shawn53 – Very nice scores!!!!! I appreciate your advice for AUD! It was never my strong point in college, granted I thought it was boring and had no motivation to learn it.. But now that Im using Becker to review, it really doesn't seem so bad.. Just need to memorize small details, and understand why everything is the way it is.
REG: PASS || BEC: PASS || AUD: PASS || F: SCORE PENDING..

AnonymousInactive@Kim4- The OP doesn't want to send the evidence to Jeff. I'm sure he has his reasons.

AnonymousInactiveI got a 99 in AUD too, congrats!
And yeah, when it comes out, it's quite the conversation maker. People look at you like you're a god. Or a freak of nature 😉 And tell you not to study so much next time haha
