I do not have audit experience so was intimidated by audit. Do people with audit experience have an edge over this subject?

This forum is for non-auditors who passed audit or are studying audit to share their experience and study strategy

I studied very hard for AUD. So, you just have to study hard and practice a lot for AUD. Make sure you understand the concepts competely before you sit in the exam insteading of memorizing the answers on the MCQs. That's the key to pass this exam.

I passed audit on second try with a 78, never worked in a audit environment. I tried Becker for audit it was ok, was sick of yellow highliting, but when i took Roger's review, i learned a lot from him and his pointers and that's when i passed.

I'm a tax guy and I ended up passing audit on my first try. In fact, I thought it was the easiest exam out of the four. What really helped me was listening to the lectures over and over. Any free time you have, listen or watch the lecture. It should replace your TV until you pass. Audit is very much concepts and rarely a calculation so I thought listening to the lectures helped me understand the audit process.

I did the MC once and reviewed all of the hard questions another time before my exam.

Roger does a great job with audit and I felt I was very prepared for the exam.

Audit was my beast!!! See below. But when I rewrote all the NINJA notes I finally passed my beast!!

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73, 80 (Passed again in May 2012) Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70, 76!!!! I AM DONE!!! - Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
After 10 long years of studying, I AM DONE!!!! Finally a Licensed CPA in the State of New York!!
