    I’ve never had an audit class and this is my first attempt at AUD. I’m currently studying for FAR and could use an extra weekend of study for the FAR exam. Looking to take it 10/20 but am thinking of pushing it back to 10/24 to give myself an extra weekend to cram for FAR. I have AUD scheduled for 11/30 so anytime I add to FAR, I will be taking away from AUD.

    So I ask you my fellow posters…any advice for this AUD noobie?

    There's not much material in AUD compared to the other 3 parts. 8 weeks should suffice.

    @CPAMan

    8 weeks?!?! Or did you mean 5 weeks? (since the 8 is right above the 5)

    I do not think 5 or 6 weeks is enough, especially since you're learning everything for the first time. For me, 8 weeks was just right. Any less, I would've been unprepared and any more, I would've over-studied. If you want to try and shoot for 6 weeks, then give it a try. It may work for you.

    I think it can be done in 5 or 6. I did take an Auditing class but its been 4 years ago and I didnt really recall any of it when I was preparing for the exam. I took FAR July 12 and then AUD Aug 11 and passed. I think it depends on the person, you have to be able to focus. There is some memorization but there is also just understanding. For me I was able to put in about 4 weeks focused study time and I was fine.

    @jjm

    How many hours do u study a week? If you are not working i think 6 weeks is enough.

    I'm working full-time and i usually need at least 8 weeks for each exam.

    I studied 6 weeks for AUD and i got 66. I think AUD is freaking HARDDDDDDDDDD. All of the MC questions on the exam were tricky.

    I spend about 100 hours studying for AUD, if you can manage to study 20 hours per week then 5 weeks.
