AUD did give me a big headache and pressure after I failed twice with 60 and 59. I really felt the MCQ was easy and straightforward but it turned out bad result(weak and comparable in MCQ). I used Becker and I do believe Becker covered 99% of topics in MCQ but not SIMs. The first time, I roughly read the text and practiced twice of the HW. The second time, I read the text again and redo the HW. I registered for third time already but I don’t want start reviewing it again without any good suggestion cauz I really feel depressed on the AUD and cannot figure out a good way. Anyone? Please help me…

Thanks everyone for your great suggestions. I met a lot of financial reporting questions in AUD SIMs( I passed FAR) however I forget some FAR concepts… @CPA4birthdaypresent u r right, I definitely need go back to Becker books to capture the logic behind.

I got an “A” in college and can't seem to grasp sampling and few other items. I am wondering if it's old age 😉 If you pass FAR, you will pass “AUD”. Just keep applying your self !

I am studying for FAR these days and FAR is a beast!!! I hv such respect for ppl who have passed Far; no disrespect to anyone else but honestly, if you can pass FAR you r well on your way to being a CPA 🙂

So for Audit I would suggest redoing the MCQS again n again. I also used becker and did theMCQs/Sims bat 3 times at least.

Keep at it. You will get it sooner or later.

@2014 CPA Thanks for your suggestions. Do u think the SIMs in Becker is enough for the exam? I feel like I need more practices in SIMs and Becker only provides few.

For FAR, I would suggest u focus on intermediate accounting not advanced part. (8 intermediate : 2 advanced)

i agree with u that Backer does not provide us more practices in SIMs that why i have decided to buy NINJAMCQs in addition to Backer MCQ

I use Becker and I read the book three times. For me, reading is more useful than doing MCQs or SIMS. After all, you will know how to do those questions if you truly understand the big picture. I only went through SIMS once. Try to memorize all reports though. Good luck!
