so i have two weeks left until my exam. Working overtime and being a dedicated bridesmaid in a friends wedding has really set me back. now i’m back to my normal schedule and my friend is married, so i’m dedicating my remaining time to trying to pound out studying for this exam. i have about three years exp with audit but it was years ago. I’ve completed two of the five chapters. what advice could you give me to prep the best way possible with such limited time? i only have week nights and weekends to study. Do i make sure i feel 100% with the information i’ve been through or do i focus on getting through more material? or do i focus strictly on multiple choice and learn the info that way? help!!!

I am sitting on 7/19 for audit. If i were you, i would obviously try to get through all of the material, if possible. Concentrate your efforts on Beckers chapters 3 and 4, at the bare minimum, as they make up a large percentage of the tests total points. Chapters 1 and 2 are pretty basic, and should be fairly easy to cover, especially with prior experience.

Good luck on your studies. I know i am in crunch time. This is my lock down week.

Joemark – good luck on 7/19. Thanks for the advice, makes sense to me. The next two weeks are lockdown for me – so you arent alone! CH 1 and CH 4 are the chapters I have done. I got bored with the memorization of CH 1 so I switched it up and went after the good stuff in CH 4… now I think I will turn back to CH 3. I'm hoping I still have enough time… thanks again.

Two weeks isn't a lot of time, but it could be enough, especially if you have an audit background.

I would do the lecture one night, MC on that lecture the next night. Then do the same thing until you get through all the lectures. That takes 10 days to get through all 5 and the MC. Then that gives you 1 day for all the simulations (not as bad as it sounds). Then take the last couple of days and just pound MC questions via progress tests or hit specific difficult areas.

I'll re-take on Jul 19, too. What's your average score for BECKER HW and final score. I'm still worried about it since it's really my weak field.

Dale – good advice and what a website you have! sounds like you went through quite a journey as most of us can relate to. I cant wait until I am done with this and can go back to my life that i seemed to have left behind.

Bit_AUD – i'm really not that far along at all. my scores on my becker homework havent been amazing… probably anywhere bw 60-70%. I should be nervous but I'm just trying to do anything I can at this point. I havent been through all the info and probably wont until next week. luckily, i do have a little bit of audit experience so i'm praying that helps. If you aren't scoring well on your mc just keep going over the questions.
