    Am I crazy?

I am fresh off my recent 70 on BEC, my highest score to date and I have used this as fuel to keep moving forward. My technique of writing EVERYTHING has really paid off. As I finished notes on all the chapters, I find myself really excelling at the MCs. I bought the Wiley test bank from Jeff and am doing as many MCs as possible, alternating between the becker passmaster and wiley test bank, but the brighter part of it all is, I am for once ACTUALLY understanding the material rather than just going through the motions. I started to feel this way towards the end of BEC and now I am really seeing my hard work pay dividends. I am ready to put my failures behind and put some passing grades on my report. This is my 4th time taking Audit. I’ll take anybody’s advice. I am also going to start re-writing all the ninja notes.

The 70 was just the beginning. I got the first number, it’s time to get the second.

journey, don't give up. it took me 5 tries before I finally passed audit. make sure you are reading and understanding all the answers and why a correct answer is right and why the wrong answers are wrong. there is a lot of great info in those explanations and once you completely understand that theory you will get it. make sure you understand the audit risk model, and the different reports and when each type is appropriate. the last time I took it I used the ninja audio and listened to it at least once a week. I also rewrote my ninja notes a couple of times. I was able to increase my score from a 72 to an 89 on the last exam. (I had made a 50 my first try).

    good luck to you

you're not crazy, you're making improvements and inching closer and closer

love the positive attitude and how you see the glass as half full while many would see it as half empty

thanks nolifecpa. that means alot to me. i am not giving up rather i am using it as fuel to keep going and put even more time in.

@bnr – i am definitely approaching audit differently this time around. 1st thing was really understand the material by taking notes on each chapter, once i got to the MCs i felt like i already grasped the material better. when i get a question wrong, i take notes on why i got it wrong. I am also alternating between the wiley test bank and becker. This week I am going to start re-writing ninja notes. I have had them in the past and read them but never re wrote them. i HOPE that this will help.

do you have any other suggestions? i can relate to your experience, especially since I got a 70 on BEC and were close on BEC too before passing. I am starting to believe that I can pass this thing and that is one of the most important things I have found. when I got a 70, it was the first time i Believed i had a chance at passing. My confidence is starting to really boom, so much that i pushed my audit up a week and scheduled BEC for 5/31 for a rematch.

    any other suggestions?

I made myself some “cheat sheets” so to speak of all the info I knew I needed to know going into the exam such as the types of reports and when they are used, Becker has a chart in their book with this info, all the mnemonics I needed to help remember the key info, the audit risk model and how it worked. Basically a “one pager” per chapter on the important topics that I could review quickly during my studying, in my final review and just before my exam to gain some easy points. This is more condensed than your intense notes and even more condensed than the ninja notes. I would rewrite these several times before the exam in addition to my ninja notes so that it stuck.
