Ugh. Does anyone else just get really mad at the AICPA and the people who formulate the questions? For FAR and now AUD, I was just furious with them. My issue is that there are vague terms used in these questions that could be interpreted several different ways. Why is it that they have to go out of their way to hide the question they’re really asking? They’re not just testing your knowledge, but also your ability to read through BS.

As far as the actual test thoughts, the MCQs weren’t THAT bad, but there were a few questions where I was thinking “Hmmm, this is random”. The sims were not fair. I had about 2 hours and 20 minutes going into the sims and I used every second to barely finish. There were some that were more FAR related than AUD related. Do I blame Becker for not preparing us for some of these questions? Also, I got two sims with the same topic, literally. Lucky for me, I suck at those topics so I spent a good amount of time researching which destroyed me in the other sims.

Overall, I feel like I did way too much guessing to feel confident about passing. I did see a few MCQs that were verbatim from the study questions. Obviously I feel good about those, but worst case scenario, I find out failed next week and then I study for another 4 weeks and retake in early January. Yay.

@jjm I agree with you! In A LOT of the questions asked, I could literally weed out 2 answers that could be right… I think they just want us to choose the “best” answer–which is really frustrating, let's not lose faith

I also took AUD yesterday and felt the SAME EXACT way when reading a few questions…

SIMs were awful…2 sims, I'm sure I'm right. The other 5, I'm if-fy on.

@JJM & Jenuno01 I'm sure you guys did fine! Based on your experience though I'm dreading Jan 3rd coming around…. AUD is SOOOOO boring! At least studying for it is that's for sure. I've heard that a lot that some sims are more FAR related than AUD, but I also know most people who say that have generally passed. So keep your head up! Dec 7th isn't to much farther!

I am very happy that I don't have to wait very long. Also happy that if I do fail, I can jump back on the saddle quickly without feeling like I am starting all over again. It's true about the SIMS, no way to prepare other than be prepared to be shocked. Seriously, one of the sims was soooooooo detailed and specific that there was no way it could be answered without the research tool. And even the research tool wasn't completely helpful.

@AshleyCap – Are you going after BEC or REG after AUD?
