I plan on taking the AUD exam next month. I was wondering what should be the study approach for Audit. Should I keep doing MCQ’s or should I also read the text, memorize the mnemonics? Is it necessary to memorize stuff or is understanding the concepts sufficient?

Knowing the concepts is more important than just memorizing questions because I am 100% certain that there will be questions on the exam that you haven't seen before. Doing MC questions over and over again is very helpful though because it helps you gain that understanding. For AUD, I spent about 90% of my time doing MC and reading up on questions I got wrong and 10% on SIMS. I took the exam a few days again and it wasn't awful. Hopefully that method worked out for me and will work for you as well.
