Look at FAR for AUD?

I heard that sometimes there are financial accounting questions thrown onto the audit exam and that there are a few on the AICPA sample exam. I haven’t taken FAR yet, so I haven’t been reviewing those topics, but now I’m thinking maybe I should study areas that are particularly important to auditing. Or am I overthinking this?

Sorry finne, I would like some other people's opinions/experience as well.

But for the AICPA sample exam, were the financial accounting questions related to ratios, or other areas?

All I know for sure is that you should know and understand at least some of the basic/popular financial ratios.

Know your basic adjusting journal entries and you'll be fine.

I had one FAR-ish sim on AUD, but even if I didn't know exactly how to do it logic would have gotten me at least some points, so I imagine that is likely the case in general.

@DizzySpells, I don't specifically remember what they were on. But I'll definitely be studying those ratios.

    Thanks all for the responses!

Correct as for FAR questions being on AUD exam. I had one FAR sim on AUD. Remember, your auditing financial statements. Know ratios, accruals for payables and receivables. Those should be the most likely things tested.
