Last minute AUD question…

    I HATE the it part. Can someone explain in a little more detail about the 2 different parallel simulations? They sound so similar to me..

    controlled processing-auditor observes processing runs and compares the results w/ client’s results. (auditor system used to process client’s data)

    controlled reprocessing-auditor uses archived copy of program and auditor reprocesses transaction and compares it to normal processing run.

    The only difference between the 2 is parallel simulation processes actual transactions through the auditor's GAS (general audit software) system.

    And controlled reprocessing processes actual transactions through a copy of the client's system.
